Autumn showed its bright, cheerful face today and will be just as colorful tomorrow.
Then it will be followed by some gray, rainy days that I will spend working. Two weeks ago, I took cornel berries and cooked jam from them. I’ve been picking hawthorn for the last few days, it’s going to be jam too.
Sumac is also beautifully red and orange already - it's like the hillside is on fire.
It forms a strong contrast with the white limestone rocks, the still green vegetation and the clear blue of the sky, yet it is harmonious.
Of course, sumac does not grow on rocks to eat. As far as I know, it is toxic and has no berries on it anyway. I have heard that it was used for tanning skins as a natural material.
I could have spent hours in this magical place, but unfortunately I had to go home.
Photos are all my original shots.
