Greetings to all, my name is Gabo, first time posting here and it is a pleasure to meet you. I love to visit these stores where they sell many plants, because I love to plant in my yard and for some time I have been thinking about buying some ornamental and floral plants for the house and for the yard.
Coincidentally, recently one of these stores or nurseries, as we call them here, reopened. It had been closed because of the pandemic and since the beginning of the year they had been remodeling it and stocking it with new plants but had not opened to the public. Today they opened and I would like to share with you my visit to this place.
The nursery is simply huge. There are a lot of aisles with plants and a lot of land in the back where the general public cannot enter, only the employees.
However, the part that is open to the public starts with this hallway that I show you below:
There are a lot of plants, from palms to beautiful ornamental plants, those with big leaves that look great inside the house, next to the window or in the living room, you know, to give a little green to the house.
And the fact is that giving plants to the house is not only good for the visual part, it also brings many health benefits. There are plants that purify the air during the night, there are others that reduce the spores in the environment and some simply serve to reduce stress, according to the ancient wisdom of grandma...
But back to the place I visited, take a look at these two pictures below:

These are just two areas for these plants that I have seen a lot in squares, on sidewalks and public places. I always see these types of plants or shrubs, I don't know what they are, I'm not a botanist or anything like that, but I always see these little plants up here in those places. They look very nice, but to have them inside the house I don't think they look very good.
On the other hand, there was this plant down here with big leaves. The man who was serving us told us that this plant is bought a lot for indoors. That they need sun, yes, but mid-day sun is more than enough.
You may know that plants need sun, otherwise they turn yellow and eventually get sick. But these plants that are here in the two pictures below are plants that receive half day sunlight and look how beautiful the leaves are.

These plants are useful, for example, to place them next to a window where they receive light during the middle of the day.
Others that caught my attention were these two that I show you below. They are plants that were both in pots, to place them on the floor or on a small table, and in hanging pots for decoration.
I have seen them when they are bigger and the truth is that they are very pretty; they look much better hanging there. I love how nature gives us these designs and colors in something that one takes for granted as a simple plant, but you see that nature can be very beautiful even in its simplest things...

Something I also found in this store were these tiny little trees. They look like bonsai but I'm not sure if they are, so I won't say they are. I didn't have any employee around to ask but I thought it was curious to see them, there were only these two trees, I didn't see one more in the whole tour.

And what else can I tell you about this place? There were all kinds of plants with flowers of a lot of colors, although for some reason almost all of them were closed, they had not sprouted yet; however, I managed to photograph some flowers that were already in all their splendor.
I leave you a series of photographs, to finish, of the most beautiful thing of the nursery and one of the coolest and most beautiful things that nature has to offer us in terms of plants, the flowers...

Saludos a todos, mi nombre es Gabo, primera vez que publico por acá y es un placer conocerlos. A mi me encanta visitar estas tiendas donde venden muchas plantas, porque me encanta sembrar en mi patio y desde hace tiempo me he estado pensando comprar algunas plantas ornamentales y florales para la casa y para el patio.
Casualmente, hace poco volvió a abrir una de estas tiendas o viveros, como los llamamos aquí. Por la pandemia había cerrado y desde comienzo de año lo habían estado remodelando y surtiendo con nuevas plantas pero no habían abierto al público. Hoy abrieron y me gustaría compartir con ustedes mi visita a este lugar.
El vivero es sencillamente enorme. Hay un montón de pasillos con plantas y un montón de terreno en la parte de atrás a donde el público en general no puede entrar, solo los empleados.
A pesar de todo, la parte abierta al público comienza con este pasillo que les muestro a continuación:
Hay un montón de plantas, desde palmas hasta unas plantas ornamentales bien bonitas, de esas de hojas grandes que lucen muy bien dentro de la casa, a un lado de la ventana o en la sala, ya saben, para darle un poco de verde a la casa.
Y es que dotar de plantas a la casa no solo es bueno para la parte visual, también trae muchos beneficios en cuanto a la salud. Hay plantas que purifican el aire durante la noche, hay otras que disminuyen las esporas en el ambiente y algunas simplemente sirven para disminuir el estrés, según la sabiduría ancestral de la abuelita...
Pero volviendo al lugar que visité, vean estas dos fotografías de abajo:

Esta solo son dos áreas para estas plantas que he visto mucho en plazas, en aceras y lugares públicos. Siempre veo este tipo de plantas o arbustos, no sé lo que son, no soy botánico ni nada parecido, pero siempre veo estas plantitas de aquí arriba en esos lugares. Lucen muy bien, pero para tenerlas dentro de la casa no creo que se vean muy bien.
Por otra parte estaba esta planta de acá abajo con hojas grandes. El señor que nos estaba atendiendo nos dijo que esta planta la compran mucho para interiores. Que necesitan sol, sí, pero con sol a medio día es más que suficiente.
Ustedes sabrán que las plantas necesitan sol, sino se ponen amarillas y eventualmente les hace mal. Pero estas plantas que estan aquí en las dos imágenes de abajo son plantas que reciben luz de sol medio día y vean lo bonita que estan las hojas.

Sirven estas plantas para, por ejemplo, colocarlas junto un ventanal en donde reciba luz durante medio día.
Otras que me llamaron mucho la atención fueron estas dos que les muestro aquí abajo. Son plantas que estaban tanto en macetas, para colocarlas en el suelo o en alguna mesita, como en macetas colgantes para decorar.
Las he visto cuando son más grandes y la verdad es que son muy bonitas; ahí colgadas lucen mucho mejor. Me encantan cómo la naturaleza nos regala estos diseños y colores en algo que uno deja por sentado como una simple planta, pero ya ven que la naturaleza puede ser muy hermosa incluso en sus cosas mas sencillas....

Algo que me encontré también en esta tienda fueron estos arbolitos chiquititos. Parecen bonsai pero no estoy seguro de que lo sean, así que no diré que lo son. No tenía cerca a ningún empleado para preguntar pero me pareció curioso verlos, solo estaban estos dos arbolitos, no vi ni uno más en todo el recorrido.

¿Y qué más les puedo contar de este lugar? Había todo tipo de plantas con flores de un montón de colores, aunque por alguna razón casi todas estaban cerradas, no habían brotado aún; sin embargo, logré fotografiar algunas flores que ya estaban en todo su esplendor.
Les dejo una serie de fotografías, para finalizar, de lo más hermoso del vivero y una de las cosas más geniales y bonitas que la naturaleza tiene para ofrecernos en cuanto a plantas, las flores...
