We have countless creatures on this planet. Most of which we do not know. There are even many creatures around us about which we have a lot of unknown information. But the interesting thing is that we can get some idea about that through the content shared by many in the @amazingnature community and we can also share what we know about different creatures. Many thanks to @adalger , the organizer of the weekly contest, for organizing such a beautiful thematic challenge contest. And at the same time I would like to inform that this is my entry post in this contest. If you want to know more about this contest click here
Leaf Beetle (Chrysolina coerulans)
Scientific name: Chrysolina coerulans
It is usually a beetle of Common names of members of the genus Chrysomelidae in the class Coleoptera.. It's body colours is very dark blue. Of course, it looks a lot black, but it is dark blue. It is quite small in size. Leaf beetles are usually seen sitting on the leaves and eating the leaves and making holes in the leaves. Moreover, they make tunnels in the roots and other parts of the plant.
A few days ago, when I was walking along the road in the afternoon, I saw many of these insects sitting on the leaves of the dhutra tree growing on the side of the road. It is a very small insect. I usually see it sitting on the leaves of this tree and occasionally flying around. The body of the insect is divided into two parts. The front is very small and the back is slightly oval. And looked like two clusters on the face. It looked pretty good.
The legs of this insect are articulated and a few legs can be seen. Moreover, its body is very smooth. As far as I know, this type of insect is harmful to the crop i.e. these insects cause damage to the crop.
