There are many beautiful areas within the United States, but in the fall, thousands of tourists come to the North East to experience the change in colors.
In New Hampshire, there are a couple of different places you could go, but seeing how my wife and I got married in New Hampshire 7 years ago on September 27th, we make the trip up every year to see the trees start to change.
There are a couple of areas we make sure to visit each year in New Hampshire. The sites off of the Kancamagus Scenic Bywayand Cathedral Ledge.
I thought it would be important to show you the trip up Cathedral Ledge for those that have never done it. So I made this quick video to show you the drive.
Not only do we venture up this spot in the fall, but we also go every Summer, to see the view
But we also go to Echo Lake, which can be seen in this photo. We weren't able to go down to the lake this time, as we had our dogs with us and dogs are not allowed on most properties until after Columbus Day weekend.

After we visited Cathedral Ledge, we ventured up Kancamagus Scenic Biyway which is a 34.5 mile scenic drive that takes you through the White Mountain National Forest.
You pass by areas where you can
skip rocks in the river
wade in the water
You can also get up to an elevation at around 3,000 feet at the Kancamagus pass
And make your way through a hairpin turn at 3000 feet
And once you make it down to the other side, there are plenty of hikes in which you can take the dogs and experience the outdoors. This is Lincoln Woods trailhead. We have a couple of waterfalls that we visit each year, but this time, with the two dogs, the kids and the rain, we wanted to keep it simple.
We will be sure to come back in the summertime for all the waterfalls.
Here's a picture of us at one of the water falls this past summer
Hope you enjoyed the videos and pictures. The area is beautiful and I look forward to showing you more as we enjoy nature in the present.
