I admit that I'm lazy, before leaving for Italy I was supposed to mow the lawn, but I didn't. I haven't done it even once this year. After returning from an earlier vacation, my yard turned into a meadow. There is beautiful, short green grass around the neighbors. And I have a lawn that is a meadow. But is it that bad? I wonder, or rather I am sure, that thanks to my laziness, I have contributed to the growth of the insect ecosystem. I don't have a photo, but through the window I watched birds come to my place for breakfast early in the morning to eat insects.

There were some herbs in a small box made of pallets last year. They are doing very well after winter, they even look more handsome than last year. The chives and parsley have grown really big and are getting ready to spread their seeds.

For as long as I can remember, mint, several species, has been growing in one place in the yard next to the composter. When I mow the grass, I leave part of it to have some mint for aromatic water with mint and lemon. When you mow the grass there, it always smells nice of mint.
