Mis queridos hivers hoy estoy muy contenta de presentarles el tutorial de hoy, la muñeca de tela Barbie, ha sido todo un reto, pues ya no me queda dudas que cada personaje a medida que lo voy armando va desarrollando su personalidad, es algo loco que no se muy bien cómo explicar. Pensé que al confeccionar esta Barbie por la práctica sería más rápido y sencillo, pues error total jajaja.
Hi Barbie, hi Ken, hi Barbie, hi Barbie, hi Barbie. My dear hivers today I am very happy to present today's tutorial, the Barbie fabric doll. It has been a challenge, because I have no doubt that each character as I'm putting it together is developing her personality. It's something crazy that I don't really know how to explain. I thought that making this Barbie by practice would be faster and easier, well, total mistake hahaha.
Les cuento, para confeccionar la Barbie de tela, utilicé los materiales frecuentas: tela suave de algodón color beige para piel, de satin rosada para el vestido y blanco, pinturas de tela, estambre amarillo para el cabello, pinceles, algodon de relleno, tijera, hilos y máquina de coser. También, ya tenía el patrón que luego les explicaré como lo pueden hacer, así que procedí a marcar y cortar la figura de Barbie, hasta acá todo bien.
To make the fabric Barbie, I used the usual materials: soft beige cotton fabric for the skin, pink satin for the dress and white, fabric paints, yellow yarn for the hair, brushes, stuffing cotton, scissors, threads and sewing machine. Seguí con el proceso para rellenar con algodón, siempre me ayudo con unas pinzas y la punta de un pincel. Asegurándome que esté cada pieza bien llena, firme pero suave que no llegue a textura de almohada. Recordemos que los brazos van aparte. Luego, con un lápiz dibuje el rostro, en la pintada comienza el a revelarse la personalidad de Barbie, el azul de los ojos no terminaba de quedar semejante al de la muñeca de plástico, esto me llevó un buen tiempo en forma y color, como ven en esta oportunidad no delinee mucho con negro sus facciones, la verdad quedé bastante satisfecha.

Segunda revelación, el cabello, como es habitual: enrollé en un cartón suficiente estambre para cubrir la cabeza de Barbie, luego, con la máquina uní todos los hilos, al momento de pegarlo en su cabeza el peinado no me convencía, entonces hice un poco más de cabello y se lo puse de lado como ven, con ayuda de silicon y puntadas, aun aca no estaba del todo segura pero me fui con la vestimenta pero antes, le pegue los brazos con puntadas de hilo rosado.

Según yo, había elegido hacer el vestido Barbie, con falda volada y un top blanco, sin embargo, no terminaba de ajustar el arruchado de la falda, por mas que intente se veía desproporcionado, entonces desistí y decidí hacer un vestido básico ajustado con cinta en el cuello, corte dos rectángulos antes de unirlos le pasé una costura para los orillos, al ruedo y haciendo un canal por el lado superior por donde irá la cinta para amarrar en los hombros.
According to me, I had chosen to make the Barbie dress, with a flounced skirt and a white top, however, I could not finish adjusting the ruffling of the skirt, no matter how hard I tried it looked disproportionate, so I gave up and decided to make a basic dress fitted with ribbon at the neck, I cut two rectangles before joining them, I sewed a seam for the selvages, the hem and making a channel on the upper side where the ribbon will go to tie at the shoulders.
Ahora sí, uní los rectángulos dejando el espacio de las mangas y los canales, por allí atravesé las cintas y anudé con lazos. Hivers, ustedes creerán que ya estaba lista Barbie, pero no terminaba de convencerme, si algo caracteriza este personaje es la cintura ceñida, entonces decidí con la misma cinta hacerle un cinturón bastante delgado, aquí en cuanto vestimenta si estaba feliz.

Volviendo al cabello, volví a mis referencias, descubriendo que le faltaba el tan icónico lazo, entonces manos a la obra con el accesorio. Hice un mini rectángulo, lo uní en los bordes con unas puntadas, también un trozo de tela para la cola del lazo y los uní, decorando el centro. Luego, peiné a Barbie ladeando su cabello y cosiendo el lazo para que esté ajustado. Justo cuando pensé que la había terminado, me doy cuenta que Barbie estaba descalza, tuve que subir todo el traje y el cabello para no manchar de pintura y así le pinté los zapatos.
Returning to the hair, I went back to my references, discovering that it was missing the iconic bow, so I got to work on the accessory. I made a mini rectangle, joined it at the edges with a few stitches, also a piece of fabric for the tail of the bow and joined them together, decorating the center. Then, I combed Barbie's hair to one side and sewed the bow to make it tight. Just when I thought I had finished it, I realized that Barbie was barefoot, I had to pull the whole outfit and hair up so I wouldn't get any paint on it and so I painted her shoes.
Ufff, ahora sí “Come on Barbie, lets go party, uoh uoh”. Lista la Barbie de Tela, hivers no importa que tan mecánico sea tu paso a paso, cuando decides aceptar la magia en tus obras, ellas dejan ver su personalidad y te guían a hacer lo mejor posible para que resulte, sin embargo, siempre son importante los bocetos para las referencias.
