Hola hivers y creativos.Después de mucho tiempo volví a hacer una muñeca de tela, inspirada en una de mis mayores musas: Mia Astral, astróloga y quien es para mi la mamá de la creatividad, pues ella hizo su imperio teniendo mucho en contra hace 15-20 años atrás. Ella para mi es ejemplo de convicción y disciplina. Aunque la astrología estaba en la mesa no era tan bien vista, tenía sus seguidores pero eran más los que ocultaban su interés. Sin embargo, Mia ha sido perseverante, enfocada al estudio y compartir su conocimiento, guiándonos a quienes creemos en: “como es arriba es abajo”.
Hello hivers and creatives, after a long time I returned to make a fabric doll, inspired by one of my greatest muses: Mia Astral, astrologer and who is for me the mom of creativity, because she made her empire having a lot against her 15-20 years ago. For me she is an example of conviction and discipline. Although astrology was on the table it was not so well seen, she had her followers but there were more who hid their interest. However, Mia has been persevering, focused on study and sharing her knowledge, guiding those of us who believe in: “as above so below”.
Conocí a Mia Astral por una referencia en instagram y luego la vi en twitter, desde allí me enganche con su actitud, personalidad y poder en lo que explica. Y siempre voy a sus canales para tomar ideas, sabiduría y sobre todo calma. Por eso no dude en transformar mi creatividad en un tributo para ella, los materiales fueron: un cuerpo de tela que ya tenía tela y algodón, estambre para el cabello, pinturas, tijeras, hilos, agujas, tela satinada y cordón.
I met Mia Astral through a reference on instagram and then I saw her on twitter, from there I got hooked with her attitude, personality and power in what she explains. And I always go to her channels to take ideas, wisdom and above all calm. So I did not hesitate to transform my creativity into a tribute to her, the materials were: a fabric body that already had fabric and cotton, hair yarn, paints, scissors, threads, needles, satin fabric and cord.
Lo primero fue buscar referencias de su rostro para poder pintarlo, también le pinte su corazón, mi sello en mis muñecas de tela, mientras secaba su carita. Fue el turno de los brazos, los cuales rellené, cerré con costura escondida y luego los cosí a los costado del cuerpo junto a unos botones para darle un toque más decorativo y así creo los brazos quedan mejor sujetados.
The first thing I did was to look for references to her face so I could paint it. I also painted her heart, my stamp on my fabric dolls, while I dried her face. It was the turn of the arms, which I stuffed, closed with hidden stitching and then sewed them to the sides of the body with some buttons to give it a more decorative touch and so I think the arms are better held.
Luego fue el turno del cabello, para eso conseguí un estambre con lentejuelas, un brillo bastante vistoso pero delicado, lo enrolle en una superficie plana, suficiente que le cubra la cabeza a la muñeca de tela, luego corte en la mitad, uni junto un trozo de tela y costura en zig zag todas las hebras, así obtengo la melena. Con silicon caliente se lo pegué y con un punzón incrusté para darle mayor fijación.
Then it was the turn of the hair, for that I got a yarn with sequins, a very colorful but delicate shine, I rolled it on a flat surface, enough to cover the head of the fabric doll, then cut in half, joined together a piece of fabric and zig zag stitched all the strands, so I get the mane. With hot silicon I glued it and with a punch I embedded it to give it a better fixation.
Después fue el momento del vestido, fue un rectangulo, con un doblez bien pronunciado al frente, y lo cerré, luego le hice un dobladillo, planche todo, para calcular bien los tirantes con el cordón, los cosí a mano para un mejor sábado y comodidad, también la tela es muy delicada como para afinar detalles así.
Then it was time for the dress, it was a rectangle, with a pronounced fold at the front, and I closed it, then I hemmed it, ironed everything, to calculate well the straps with the lace, I sewed them by hand for a better Saturday and comfort, also the fabric is too delicate to refine details like that.
Finalmente, volví a planchar el vestido, limpie la muñeca de excesos de hilos y listo mi muñeca Mia Astral, la primera de mi edición llamadas Musas ¿Qué les pareció?
