Good morning dear friends, how was your day today? I hope you are having a nice night, I want to share with you the creative process of this beautiful top that you could make in the comfort of your home and if you are learning to make or sew simple garments, something that I love about sewing this type of garments is that you can make them with few fabrics or scraps, these tops also help us a lot when we want to put on a simple outfit where we only wear something under our jackets or bullfighters, we can also use them for hot times and when we go to the beach of course in hot seasons.

In this blog you will learn how to make your own super simple summer tops with those scraps of stretchable and non-stretchable fabrics. I invite you to appreciate this simple tutorial and stay to appreciate the results. I hope it is very useful to you and thank you in advance for the time spent reading this tutorial 🥰💙. Let's go with the step by step, my loves.

Materiales:// Materials:
- Elastico de 1 cm ancho
- Hilo
- Tijera
- Herramienta pasa cinta de metal
- Máquina de coser
- 50 cm de tela
- 1 cm wide elastic
- Thread
- Scissors
- Metal tape cutter
- Sewing machine
- 50 cm of fabric

Pasos a seguir://Steps to follow:

Paso 01
Step 01
We begin the first step by cutting the pieces that we will use for the top (1 front piece) of the blouse (1 back piece) we will also cut it double, the front piece has a drop and we will cut it round (2 straps 20 cm long x 4 cm wide) these are the corresponding pieces.

Paso 02
Step 02
In this case, we are going to join and sew the sides of my top and the bottom edge of the top with my overlock machine to make the hem. You can also do it with a zigzag stitch if you don't have these machines that seal the edge pieces of our garments 🥺.

Paso 03
Step 03
I always finish the seam of my overlock sewing because when we put on the garments the thread tends to stretch a little and to prevent this from always happening to me and to avoid the overlock thread from breaking or being damaged, I simply pass the seam straight where necessary, then I hem the top at the bottom also at the top of the bust leaving a small space to pass the elastic 🪡and I will take the tape tool to grab the tip of my elastic and be able to pass the elastic through the top where we have left the space without sewing, I wanted to put elastic to prevent this part from widening too much.

Paso 04
Step 04
Then we pass the elastic and adjust it to the measurement of the contour of our bust, then we sew the edge of our straps and with a stick we turn it over, I always use a metal stick to make it easier for me to turn the straps over since these are sometimes thin.

Paso 05
Step 05
Finally, I just located where I would place the straps on the top and sewed them, folding a small part of each tip of the straps. This way, I finished sewing and finishing off the pieces that were missing.
