Happy weekend to you all on this beautiful Saturday, i hope you are all doing great and having lovely time with your family and love ones. Today, i will be sharing with you the making of a small bracelet box with zipper made from pieces of fabric for my little friend.
I have a little friend in my neighborhood with her beautiful bracelet of different colors, jokingly, i told her i love her bracelet that if she doesn't really mind, i will like to have them for myself but she said she would have loved to give the other one to me but she misplaced it and couldn't find it where she kept it, I ask if she has a place where she usually keep her bracelet but she said no she only jas a nylon she tie them, i was prompted to make this small box for her to keep her other bracelet from missing and also promised to get her a beautiful bracelet to replace the missing one.
Let me show you the cutting and sewing process of this little bracelet box
I measured and cut out 13 x 10" of fabric with interfacing ironed on it and it was placed on a lining to cut out same shape
I placed a zipper on the main fabric with the zipper head facing down and the lining was placed on the zipper , they were all sewn together on both sides and was top stitched on as well
It was zipped together to locate the middle and it was notched, i placed the zipper to the middle and i measured 2 x 1.5 on every corner of the fabric
The coners i measured were cut out following the line
The zipper was zipped tontge middle and i sew on both sides
The corner that were cut out were sewn together on each side just as seen below
The excess zipper were trimmed off and other excess and it was turned inside out through the zipper opening
This is the final and beautiful outcome, you can as well make one for yourself for other items, you can increase the measurement to give you a bigger size.
Now my little friend can keep her bracelet safe in this fabric box i made for her and im sure she will loke it.
