Greetings to you all on this beautiful day, I hope you are all doing great, it's with great pleasure that I bring to you today the making of this simple design of a phone and cash pouch with handle I made for a friend.
Making of this simple items as become so simple and easy for me to make, it has as well made me known for my creativity, I have made so many different types of pouch for people around that they now recommend me for others as well and it gives me great joy to make things like this to put smile on other people's faces, it is so important to use what you know how to do to put smile on peoples faces no matter how small.
This week has been a very busy week for me but regardless, I made a promise to my friend Becky that I was going to make her pouch this week as requested by her, just with the little free time I had, I quickly bring out my pieces of fabric to make this pouch for her, it's a simple pouch with a different color of fabric for the handle and a zipper to keep the items in it safe.
Cutting and sewing process
From the pieces of fabric I have, I cut out 2 pieces of 9 x 6" with interfacing ironed on it, I cut out same shape of lining as well.
I placed a zipper on the 9" with lining and it was sewn together on both sides.
I cut out another piece of 9 x 3" from another fabric to make the handle which was folded and sewn together on both sides.
On the main fabric, I marked 1" on the upper side and 1.5 on the other side and I placed the handle on the mark before it was sewn together on my sewing machine.
I placed lining to lining and fabric to fabric and it was sewn together leaving an opening on the lining where it can be turned inside out with the zipper opened to the middle.
It was turned inside out through the opening on the lining and the opening was sewn together.
The lining was put in the pouch and I have my friend's pouch ready.
This is the final and beautiful outcome of the pouch I made for Becky with the phone and cash in it just as she intend to use it.
