It's a beautiful day out here and i hope you are all doing great and having lovely tome out there, it's a great pleasure fir me today to share with you as always my recent creative design of a pouch without zipper or pressing button but just with a handle to secure the items in it and I'm so sure you will like the beautiful outcome.
I have been making different types of pouch and purse with zipper or pressing button to secure the items in it but this time, i decided to try out something different to see how the outcome will look like and as you can see, it turned out to be nice and very useful.
Let me take you through the process of making this simple diy pouch without zipper
First thing first, i measured and cut out 20 x 9" of fabric with interfacing ironed on it while i cht out same shape of lining as well
I placed the lining on the main fabric and it was sewn together at the top and bottom
It was folded in two and i measured 1.5" on both sides of the bottom and it was cut out
It was turned to the right side and i top stitched on the top and bottom then i cut out 2 pieces of 3 x 4 ", it was folded on both sides and folded to the middle before it was sewn together
For the handle, i measured and cut out 12 x 3" it was folded and sewn together on both sides
On the main fabric, i measured 2" from the top where i sew one of the small piece as a loop and on the other side, i measured 4" where the handle was sewn and the other small piece was used to cover the rough part
It was folded together lining to lining and fabric to make as i sew on both sides leaving an opening on the lining where it can be turned inside out
I sew on the four edges as well and it was turned inside out through the opening on the lining
I top stitched on the opening on the lining and the lining was inserted back in the main pouch
The top was folded and i passed the long handle through the small piece i used to make the loop and this is the final and beautiful outcome.
This is so easy and looks nice, i love tge beautiful outcome and I'm sure you love it as well.
