Hello hiveians
It's another Monday morning @needleworkmonday a day all the needleworkers look forward to, to share their creativity.
Today's post is tag #freeneedling were we are given the opportunity to write about your work freely sharing your feelings about your project.
Let me share with you how I came about this beautiful outfit.
If you ask me, this was not actually my original plan for the fabric i bought, being a chorister in my church, we usually pick what to wear every Sunday as uniform, this particular Sunday, we were asked to wear a red top on a carton color skirt which I didn't have. As a fashion designer, instead of buying a ready to wear from the market, I bought a trouser length of carton color fabric and made a skirt from it which I wore to church.
The left over from the fabric was left in my bag for months until I came across it last week and I thought of making something beautiful from it.
The thought of making a top crossed my mind but I was thinking of what to wear with it, after so much thought, I decided to make a gown buy the fabric would not be enough it would be too short and also without sleeves.
I went to the market to get a matching fabric for the sleeves and made a creative design at the hem of the gown and I was glad about the outcome.
Now I can wear this to church as a ready to wear outfit..... I am proud of my work with so much improvement.
Thanks for reading through.....
