I am a story teller, but let me not bore y'all with too much words.
I'd just go straight to appreciating and saying a BIG THANK YOU, to the creators of @NeedleWorkMonday because this is were I saw my Soulmate/mentor @abenad.
What started as an admiration, became series of crochet lessons with her and gradually, it is metamorphosing into a source of income.
I present to you guys my second crochet project, a gift from hive.
This project took me two weeks to finish but it would have been lesser than that as I had planned a week due to my tight schedule.
However, during the process of making this bag, the grey yarn got exhausted and getting the exact shade of grey proved difficult so I just got close to the shade I had already started with and YES! the bag is as simple as it looks.
Let's get crocheting
STEP 1
I started this bag by making the granny squares.
STEP 1
First, I did the magic ring and then chained three chains into the magic ring (this counts as 1dc).
STEP 2
Next, I made 2dc in addition to the three chains (1dc)
STEP 3
I chained 3, and then proceeded again to chaining 3dc making it a total of 12 dc stitches of which I joined with a slip stitch afterwards.
Repeat Steps 2 and 3, three more times.
ASSEMBLING
After getting all my granny squares, I did the sides and the bottom by making 52 chains each. There after, I did 3steps of dc on the 52chains for both the sides and bottom.
For the handle, thanks to @abenad, I made a really strong and durable handle for my client by first chaining 8 and then extending it horizontally from there.
After getting my complete squares, sides and handle, they were assembled into the beautiful bag you see on display.
