I am fan of slippers and flip flops and have many. I had some with a lot of beads and some came off.
So I got new beads and just tried to pimp and renew the flip flops to wearable again.
They already had some knitted lines on the leather straps, some beads or shell were there still but not equal on both feet.
I had a few boxes with different colors and different kinds of beads. They are also used for making bracelets.
All you need is a little scissors, needle, thread and the beads you want to apply.
I choose a silver coin and a greenish coin, metal green feathers, a turtle, harts in purple , pink and silver.
The fact that with a multi color slipper or flip flop 🩴 you can use any bead or hanger you like.
It only took 30 minutes and I showed them on face time to my friend and she said she always throws away hers when they are damaged or beads get lost.
So I am a happy camper and I will for sure take this colorfull slippers with me travelling Italy.
I hope I have you an excellent diy, pimp and upcycle idea because it’s also applyablw to a piece of clothing or bags.
I even last year did it with a straw beach hat I had to make it a bit newer again.
This way I try to upcycle and re-use and have fun while the boys and hubby watch Holland win the game tonight in the European championship soccer.
I still have so many beads and I have so many great things I can use on clothes and bracelets and slippers so this won’t be my last blog this way and I might joinin the great contest now in the community of needleworkmonday:
