Bordar a mano es una experiencia única, que genera salud y bienestar a tu vida, lo dice alguien con experiencia en el tema porque una enfermedad llamada fibromialgia se había apoderado de mi mente y mi cuerpo. Recuerdo que el médico me recetó muchas medicinas para apaciguar los dolores que sentía desde la punta del pelo hasta los pies, desde que me levantaba hasta que me acostaba. No había cristo que aguantara tanto dolor.

Hand embroidery is a unique experience, which generates health and wellness to your life, says someone with experience in the subject because a disease called fibromyalgia had taken over my mind and body. I remember that the doctor prescribed me many medicines to appease the pain I felt from the tips of my hair to my feet, from the moment I got up to the moment I went to bed. There was no one who could stand so much pain.

Lo bueno fue que después de tantos estudios y terapias encontré un médico que me dio la mejor de las recetas; con voz suave, con cariño me dijo: _Usted debe atacar esa enfermedad desde adentro, relajándose, dejando los problemas de lado y ocupándose en hacer cosas positivas, que la ocupen y no la dejen pensar tanto.

Por suerte he tenido una familia que me entendió y me supo apoyar. Aunque siempre van a existir los problemas, hay que saberlos llevar y resolver en unión familiar.

The good thing was that after so many studies and therapies I found a doctor who gave me the best prescription; with a soft voice, with affection he told me: _You must attack this disease from the inside, relaxing, leaving the problems aside and occupying yourself with positive things, that occupy you and do not let you think so much.

Luckily I have had a family that understood me and knew how to support me. Although there will always be problems, you have to know how to deal with them and solve them in family unity.

Segregar esta hormona me ha ayudado a tener un estado de ánimo acorde con la vida, con el día a día. ¿Se imaginan que hubiese sido de mi vida si me mente se hubiese dejado dominar por la fibromialgia en aquellos años en que Venezuela estuvo tan mal por culpa de la hiperinflación y escases que sufría? Fue gracias a que ocupaba mi mente en las manualidades, llámese costura, tejido, bordado, que pude superar la dificultades. No voy a negar que de vez en cuando no lloré, sentí rabia y hasta me desesperé, pero aquí estoy ¡Viví para contarlo!

Secreting this hormone has helped me to have a state of mind in accordance with life, with the day to day. It was thanks to the fact that I occupied my mind with handicrafts, such as sewing, knitting, embroidery, that I was able to overcome the difficulties. I will not deny that from time to time I cried, felt anger and even despair, but here I am, I lived to tell the tale!

En fin, esta es una pequeña introducción para que muchas de las que estén tal vez pasando por lo mismo que yo se vean en mi espejo y entiendan que buscando un buen diagnóstico, un buen remedio todo se puede superar.

Ahora pasemos a lo que vinimos, a recrear la mente con estos hermosos lazos hechos en tela de lino blanca, con una característica especial, un bordado de flores sencillo que puedes aprender y practicar viendo tutoriales en internet.

Desde hace muchos años he querido hacerlos, pero como siempre por una u otra cosa los deseos se acumulaban en la carpeta de “proyectos por realizar”. Hoy los he sacado de esa carpeta y se han vuelto una realidad y estoy muy contenta por ello.

For many years I have wanted to make them, but as always for one reason or another the desires accumulated in the "projects to be done" folder. Today I have taken them out of that folder and they have become a reality and I am very happy about it.

Muy en el fondo creo que sentía algo de miedo, no sabía cómo bordar en un espacio tan pequeño, (sucede lo mismo con el amiguirumi) pero como ven supere el miedo y aquí está el resultado.

Para que tengan una idea de lo que hice, les cuento que corté un cuadro de tela de 12x16, en este caso es un lazo de tamaño mediano, pero si los quieres hacer más grandes o más pequeños por acá te dejo unas medidas que te pueden servir 7x11, 14x19.

Deep down I think I felt some fear, I didn't know how to embroider in such a small space, (it happens the same with amiguirumi) but as you see I overcame the fear and here is the result.

To give you an idea of what I did, I cut a 12x16 square of fabric, in this case it is a medium sized bow, but if you want to make them bigger or smaller here are some measures that can help you 7x11, 14x19.

Cuando se corta con exactitud queda mejor elaborada la pieza, luego nos vamos a la plancha doblamos hacia el centro y planchamos, luego doblamos los extremos sin planchar, tan solo marcamos un poco con nuestras manos para, marcar el cuadro donde luego elaboramos el dibujo que vamos a realizar, tal como se ve en la imagen.

Con agujas de bordar #18 y sedalinas de colores elaboramos dos flores en punto estrella, matizando un poco con un color más fuerte que el otro.

When it is cut accurately the piece is better elaborated, then we go to the iron we fold towards the center and iron, then we fold the ends without ironing, just mark a little with our hands to mark the box where we then elaborate the drawing that we are going to make, as seen in the image.

With embroidery needles # 18 and colored fishing lines we make two flowers in star stitch, shading a little with a stronger color than the other.

Cuando tenemos nuestro bordado ya hecho, unimos con cuidado los bordes de la tela pegamos con un poquito de silicón. Ya en medio hacemos unos dobles y luego juntamos los bordes con delicadeza para armar un lindo moño, pasamos costura. Para finalizar colocamos el gancho o la cola y pasamos una cinta hecha con la misma tela de un centímetro a centímetro y medio aproximadamente, damos dos vueltas y pegamos con silicón caliente o unas puntadas con aguja e hilo.

When we have our embroidery done we carefully join the edges of the fabric and glue with a little bit of silicone. In the middle we make some doubles and then we join the edges delicately to make a nice bow, we sew.
