A beautiful Christmas together with Barbie!
And how are you my beautiful people of #Needleworkmonday? I hope you all had a great weekend and have been recharged with good energy to start this Monday on the right foot. The truth is that I've been busy shopping everywhere, a little here and a little there; part of this I have to thank the wonderful #HIVE platform that generated me the necessary income to accomplish all those things I've been longing for a long time.
The Nutcracker
You know this cute little soldier from the story of the Nutcracker and the princess, this is something I still wish for, all my life I have wanted to have one like this, but that is big and beautiful like this. I really couldn't stop telling you that although I managed to buy many new things to decorate my tree and my mother's, there are still things that even if I wanted to, I still haven't been able to buy. Aren't they cute? But here they are very expensive, they are between $20 and $50, it all depends on the size.
Where does my idea of Barbie at Christmas come from?
Well, from this Nutcracker is born the idea of knitting a dress to Barbie with Christmas motif. First I want to tell you that since I found out about the contest I wanted to knit something nice for my Barbie to place her in a special place in my house, that occurred to me about a month ago while I was walking through the store "Flor andes" in Caracas; this store is huge and every year brings us beautiful things for Christmas.
When you enter the store you can see tables decorated with beautiful trains, shelves with reindeer, trees decorated with beautiful colors that invite you or give you ideas to know what to buy and how to decorate at home and could not miss the beautiful Nutcrackers of all colors and sizes. At that moment I could not resist the urge to take pictures of them all to show them. I stayed there for a while watching, next to them there was a wonderful table with the fantasy of the little soldier and the princess and suddenly! The idea was born! I wanted to make a Christmas Barbie to go with my tin soldier. That day I just brought the idea and I was planning to go back soon to buy a toy soldier the same size as the Barbie, but unfortunately when I went back this Saturday they had already taken them all away! And there were only small sizes left!
My sad heart
With my heart saddened I returned home, but with the firm resolve to keep looking for it and someday - not too far away! be able to buy it.
Even so, I did not give up my idea of knitting my Barbie dress with Christmas motif, so here it is, against all odds I made my dress and I was in love because even though I had no internet all weekend I think the result was very good. Luckily I had the knowledge I acquired from other Barbie clothing elaborations and that helped me a lot.
Sunday of creativity to the max
This Sunday I finally sat down to knit my dress, but first I made a cute bathrobe for my Barbie to be in the picture with the materials I used. For my Barbie she is very flirty, so she can't walk around all dressed up wrong Don't you believe it!
Materials I used
To make this dress I used several types of yarn and also two sizes of needle, no precise quantities here as Barbie is small and not much material is spent. I also used needle 2.5 millimeters for the body and 4 millimeters in the cap.
Step by step
Skirt:
We start by knitting the skirt with 27 + 2 chain stitches, We knit in total 27 half high stitches counting also the 3 chain stitches that are equivalent to our first high stitch. Then we knit one row of increases, that is, 2 half double crochets in each base stitch and in the third row we repeat the same process. From the 4th row on we knit a half double crochet in each base stitch until you get the desired length. For the border we knit one row in fantasy wool or white wool.
Blouse:
We knit 23 chains + 2 chains that equal our first half stitch, we continue knitting half stitch until we finish the round, we repeat the same process for 4 more rounds. Then we knit 10 half stitches and in the next stitch we knit 5 double crochets, we skip one stitch from the base and in the next stitch we knit 5 double crochets, then we finish the row with half stitches. We finish the blouse with a round of fantasy yarn.
Boots:
We knit inside a magic hoop 2 chain stitches that equal our first half stitch and in total we knit 6 half stitches and close with a Loop stitch in the second starting chain. Then we knit two more rows of half stitches in each base stitch.
Now we are only going to knit two chains and three half stitches, then we repeat the last row, cut the yarn and with needle and thread we close what will be the heel.
We continue knitting half stitches to knit the upper part of the boot until we get the desired size and finally we decorate with a bow or a flower, as you like best.
Cap:
The cap we start it from the thinnest to the widest. In a magic hoop we knit 7 high stitches, then we repeat the same process in the 2nd and 3rd round so that they had the same size. In the 4th row we increase the number of stitches. In the 5th row we knit one double crochet and one increase, in the 6th row we knit two double crochets and one increase and finally we knit one stitch in each base stitch with white fantasy yarn. For the ball we can knit in a magic ring 5 double crochet stitches with the same fancy yarn.
Belt: we knit a strip of high stitches in black color.
Final result
The truth is that with this work I realized that it doesn't matter if there is no internet, patterns, magazines, simply with the desire to knit and the idea in your head you can achieve anything you want. I know well that those tools are there and are very useful at all times, but thank God today I can show you my result and I am proud of myself for not letting myself be defeated.
I think that the desire could more and good thing they won, you all know that I am faithful user of this community since in 2018 and I will soon complete my four years working with much Love. If I like to compete and participate in everything they do, here I feel like a fish in water and good thing they exist. I have never felt like a loser or a winner, I feel like one more friend, a companion who shares with you this great love for needles.

¿Y cómo está mi gente linda de #Needleworkmonday? espero que todos hayan pasado un excelente fin de semana y se hayan recargado de buenas energías para comenzar este lunes con buen pie. La verdad yo la he pasado ocupada realizando compras por todos lados, un poco aquí y otro poco allá; parte de esto debo agradecérselo a la maravillosa plataforma #HIVE que me generó los ingresos necesarios para cumplir todas esas cosas que anhelo desde hace tiempo.
El Cascanueces
Conoces este lindo soldadito del cuento del Cascanueces y la princesa, este es algo que aun deseo, toda mi vida he querido tener uno así, pero que sea grande bonito así como estos. En verdad no podía dejar de contarles que aunque conseguí comprar muchas cosas nuevas para decorar mi árbol y el de mi madre aún hay cosas que aunque quiera todavía no he podido comprar. ¿Verdad que son lindos? Pero aquí son muy costosos, están entre $20 y $50, todo depende del tamaño.
¿De dónde nace mi idea de Barbie en Navidad?
Pues de este Cascanueces nace la idea de tejer un vestido a la Barbie con motivo navideño. Primero quiero decirles que desde que me enteré del concurso ya tenía las ganas de tejerle algo lindo a mi Barbie para colocarla en un lugar especial de mi casa, eso se me ocurrió hace como un mes mientras recorría la tienda "Flor andes" en Caracas; esta tienda es inmensa y cada año nos trae cosas hermosas para navidad.
Al entrar a la tienda puedes ver mesas decoradas con bellos trenes, estantes con renos, arboles decorados de hermosos colores que te invitan o te dan ideas para saber que comprar y como decorar en casa y no podían faltar los hermosos Cascanueces de todos colores y tamaños. En ese momento no pude soportar las ganas de tomarles fotos a todos para mostrárselos. Allí me quedé un rato viendo, junto a ellos había una maravillosa mesa con la fantasía del soldadito y la princesa ¡Y de pronto! ¡PUFF! ¡Nació la idea! quería hacer una Barbie de navidad para que acompañara mi soldadito de plomo. Ese día solo traje la idea y pensaba volver pronto para comprarme un soldadito del mismo tamaño de la Barbie, pero lamentablemente cuando volví este sábado ¡Ya se los habían llevado todos! ¡Y solo quedaban tamaño pequeño!
Mi corazón triste
Con mi corazón triste me devolví a casa, pero con el firme propósito de seguirlo buscando y algún día ¡no muy lejano! podérmelo comprar.
Aun así, no desistí de mi idea de tejer mi vestido de Barbie con motivo navideño, así que aquí la tienen, contra viento y marea saque mi vestido y quede enamorada porque a pesar de que no tenía internet en todo el fin de semana creo que el resultado estuvo muy bien. Por suerte tenía los conocimientos que adquirí de otras elaboraciones de la ropa de Barbie y eso me ayudó muchísimo.
Domingo de creatividad al máximo
Este domingo por fin me senté a tejer mi vestido, pero antes le hice una linda bata de baño a mi Barbie para que saliera en la foto con los materiales que utilicé. Para mi Barbie es muy coqueta, así que ella no puede andar por allí toda mal arreglada ¡No lo creen!
Materiales que utilicé
Para realizar este vestido he utilizado varios tipos de hilo y también dos tamaños de aguja, aquí no hay cantidades precisas ya que la Barbie es pequeña y no se gasta mucho material. También utilicé aguja 2,5 milímetros para el cuerpo y 4 milímetros en el gorro.
Paso a paso
Falda:
Comenzamos tejiendo la falda con 27 + 2 cadenetas, Tejemos en total 27 medio puntos altos contando también las 3 cadenetas que equivalen a nuestro primer punto alto. Luego tejemos una vuelta de aumentos, es decir 2 medio puntos altos en cada punto de base y en la tercera vuelta repetimos el mismo proceso. A partir de la 4ta vuelta hacemos un medio punto alto en cada punto de base hasta que consigas el largo deseado. Para el borde tejemos una vuelta en lana fantasía o lana blanca.
Blusa:
Tejemos 23 cadenetas + 2 cadenetas que equivalen a nuestro primer medio punto, seguimos tejiendo medio punto hasta terminar la vuelta, repetimos el mismo proceso durante 4 vueltas más. Luego tejemos 10 medios puntos y en el punto siguiente tejemos 5 puntos altos, saltamos un punto de la base y en el siguiente tejemos 5 puntos altos, luego terminamos la vuelta con medios puntos. Terminamos la blusa con una vuelta de hilo fantasía.
Botas:
Tejemos dentro de un aro mágico 2 cadenetas que equivalen a nuestro primer medio punto y en total tejemos 6 medio puntos y cerramos con un punto Razo en la segunda cadena de inicio. Luego tejemos dos vueltas más de medio punto en cada punto de base.
Ahora solo vamos a tejer dos cadenetas y tres medio punto nada más, luego repetimos la última vuelta, cortamos la hebra y con aguja e hilo cerramos lo que será el talón.
Seguimos tejiendo puntos medios para tejer la parte alta de la bota hasta conseguir el tamaño deseado y por ultimo decoramos con un lazo o una flor, como mejor te guste.
El gorro:
El gorro lo iniciamos desde lo más delgado hasta lo más ancho. En un aro mágico tejemos 7 puntos altos, luego repetimos el mismo proceso en la 2da y 3ra vuelta para que tuvieran el mismo tamaño. En la 4ta vuelta hacemos aumentos de puntos altos. 5ta vuelta tejemos un punto alto y un aumento, 6ta vuelta tejemos dos puntos altos y un aumento y por ultimo un punto en cada punto de base con hilo blanco fantasía. Para la bolita podemos tejer en un aro mágico 5 puntos altos con el mismo hilo fantasía.
Cinturón: tejemos una tira de puntos altos en color negro.
Resultado final
La verdad es que con este trabajo me di cuenta que no importa si no hay internet, patrones, revistas, simplemente con las ganas de tejer y la idea en tu cabeza puedes lograr todo lo que quieras. Se bien que esas herramientas están ahí y son muy útiles en todo momento, pero gracias a Dios hoy puedo mostrarles mi resultado y estoy orgullosa de mí por no haberme dejado vencer.
Creo que las ganas pudieron más y que bueno que ganaron, todas ustedes saben que soy fiel usuaria de esta comunidad desde en 2018 y ya pronto cumpliré mis cuatro años trabajando con mucho Amor. Si me gusta competir y participar en todo lo que hacen, aquí me siento como pez en el agua y que bueno que existen. Jamás me he sentido perdedora o ganadora, me siento es como una amiga más, una compañera que comparte junto a ustedes esta gran afición por las agujas.
