¡Hola a todas mis queridas amigas del mundo de las agujas! Espero que hayan tenido un feliz fin de semana y que hayan descasado bastante para que hoy podamos trabajar proyectos lindos y llenar nuestro blog de mucho color y con ello atraer a todo aquel que aunque nunca haya tomado una aguja en su vida no se pueda resistir a visitar nuestra comunidad.
¿Les ha pasado alguna vez que se enamoran de un proyecto y quieren hacerlo a como dé lugar? Pues eso fue lo que me sucedió este fin de semana, desde hace tiempo he querido elaborar estas hermosas amapolas tejidas en crochet, siempre las he visto en revistas, en pinterest y la verdad es que son bellísimos y adornan cualquier cosa magníficamente. Hace tiempo los intenté hacer para un collar, pero no tenía ningún patrón para guiarme, aun así, en esa oportunidad me llené de paciencia e hice algo según mi visión y criterio de lo que debía ser; el collar quedó bonito pero no quedé conforme, creo que aquí juega en mi contra lo perfeccionista que a veces tiendo a ser. Por eso, después de tanto tiempo me propuse a intentarlo nuevamente pero esta vez con patrón en mano, con más ganas y voluntad para que esta vez saliera mejor.
¡Un tejido de locos!
No crean que fue fácil, les confieso que es difícil adivinar ciertas cosas que el patrón no te dice; creo que antes de presentarles esta flor tuve que tejer y destejer como 3 veces. Primero vi que con punto alto me iba a quedar muy grande, luego le quite una vuelta al patrón original pero luego se la volví a sumar pero tejiendo en puntos bajos y bien apretados el tejido.
Al principio pensé que eran 4 pétalos y por eso la cuenta que yo hacía no me cuadraba, luego me puse a observar bien la imagen de internet y vi que en realidad se trataba de 3 pétalos. En fin un serie de sucesos que a todas nos pasa alguna vez antes de terminar el proyecto. Al día siguiente (domingo) ya con una idea más clara de cómo día trabajar retomé el tejido e hice todo mejor que el día anterior.
Les voy a decir algo más y ustedes tal vez me dirán que soy terca, pero la verdad es que aún no consigo lo que ando buscando y no voy a descansar hasta encontrarlo. Sé que esta amapola que hoy les presento está muy bonita y eso me pone feliz, pero así somos as tejedoras buscamos que todo quede siempre hermoso, armónico, prolijo y así nuestros tejidos den la vuelta al mundo y alegren el corazón del que los vea y los use. Espero que a ustedes también les guste y a continuación me gustaría mostrarles un poco como la hice.
Materiales y paso a paso
Para este proyecto utilice hilo de crochet y una aguja de 2 milímetros, también utilicé mostacilla negra y perlas en color claro para decorar el centro.
Como ya les había adelantado utilicé este patrón que les muestro pero lo hice en medio punto con excepción de las dos últimas vueltas que las realicé en punto alto como muestra el patrón original. Yo hice dos flores y las junte para que quedara con más en relieve. Luego de juntar las flores con aguja e hilo le coloqué la mostacilla tratando de imitar lo más posible a las amapolas. Por ultimo tejí unas hojas grandes y las pegué con aguja e hilo también.

Solo les puedo decir que el tejido es fácil sabiéndolo entender, creo que me confundí en muchas cosas pero con paciencia pude solventar las dificultades y sacar adelante mi flor. Have you ever been in love with a project and want to do it no matter what? Well that's what happened to me this weekend, for a long time I have wanted to make these beautiful crocheted poppies, I have always seen them in magazines, on pinterest and the truth is that they are beautiful and decorate anything magnificently. Some time ago I tried to make them for a necklace, but I had no pattern to guide me, even so, in that opportunity I was filled with patience and made something according to my vision and criteria of what it should be; the necklace was beautiful but I was not satisfied, I think that here plays against me the perfectionist that sometimes I tend to be. So, after so long I decided to try again but this time with a pattern in hand, with more desire and will to make it better this time.
Crazy knitting!
Don't think it was easy, I confess that it is difficult to guess certain things that the pattern doesn't tell you; I think that before presenting you this flower I had to knit and unknit like 3 times. First I saw that it was going to be too big with high stitch, then I removed a round from the original pattern but then I added it again but knitting in low stitches and tightly knitted the fabric.
At first I thought it was 4 petals and that's why the count I was doing didn't fit, then I looked at the image on the internet and I saw that it was actually 3 petals. In short, a series of events that happens to all of us sometime before finishing the project. The next day (Sunday) and with a clearer idea of how to work the day I took up again the weaving and I did everything better than the day before.
Materials and step by step
I am going to tell you something else and maybe you will tell me that I am stubborn, but the truth is that I still do not get what I am looking for and I will not rest until I find it. I know that this poppy that I present to you today is very pretty and that makes me happy, but that's how we are as knitters, we always try to make everything beautiful, harmonious, neat and so our fabrics go around the world and gladden the hearts of those who see them and use them. I hope you like it too and now I would like to show you a little bit of how I made it.
For this project I used crochet thread and a 2 mm needle, I also used black beads and light colored pearls to decorate the center.
As I had already told you I used this pattern that I show you but I did it in half stitch except for the last two rows that I did in stockinette stitch as shown in the original pattern. I made two flowers and joined them together so that it would have more relief. After joining the flowers with needle and thread I placed the mustard trying to imitate the poppies as much as possible. Finally I knitted some large leaves and glued them with needle and thread as well.

I can only tell you that the weaving is easy if you know how to understand it, I think I got confused in many things but with patience I was able to solve the difficulties and get my flower out.
