Deseándoles siempre mucha salud y lo mejor de la vida… hoy muy contenta de poder participar en el concurso promovido por esta hermosa comunidad de #Needlwordmonday, donde nos invita a realizar un obsequio ( en este caso es un tejido con la técnica de crochet ) para ese ser especial como lo es una Madre.
Y para hacer este detalle tan especial elegí a mi hija, que es la madre de mi nieto, el hombre de mi vida… Y pensar en que hacerle, me decidí por una tobillera. Ya que tienen planeado un viaje a la playa, y donde más que en una de nuestras hermosas playa se puede disfrutar y lucir este tipo de prendas.

And to make this detail so special I chose my daughter, who is the mother of my grandson, the man of my life... And thinking about what to do, I decided on an anklet. Since they have planned a trip to the beach, and where more than one of our beautiful beaches you can enjoy and wear this type of jewel.
Cuando la estaba tejiendo le decía a ella; que yo era la que siempre le tejía a los bebes recién nacidos, sus pulseritas con hijo rojo para que no le echaran mal de ojo. Y como se lo había mencione anteriormente, siempre me llamo la atención esta hermosa labor del tejido, cuando veía a mi madre tejer chinchorros en telares y después a ganchillo. Recuerdo que estaba bien chiquita y agarraba un gancho de pelo y lo abría (que haría de aguja) e hilo y hacia cadenetas largas. Así comenzó mi amor por el tejido y aunque no fui constante, ya que al crecer y tener otras ocupaciones lo hacía por temporadas.
When I was weaving it, I used to say to her; that I was the one who always knitted newborn babies their bracelets with a red son so they wouldn't cast the evil eye on them. And as I had mentioned before, this beautiful work of weaving always caught my attention, when I saw my mother weave hammocks on looms and then crochet. I remember that I was very young and I would grab a hair clip and open it (which would act as a needle) and thread and make long chains. This is how my love for weaving began and although I was not constant, since growing up and having other occupations I did it for seasons.
Ah pero eso si era seguro, que siempre estaba dispuesta a tejer así fuera con hilo de coser rojo una pulserita para cualquier bebe, con ( una semilla de un árbol,) que según nuestras creencias combatían el mal de ojo o las malas vibras)..,Y después que tuve a mis dos hijas, nunca les faltaban sus pulsera y tobilleras rojas y negras.
Ah, but that was for sure, that she was always willing to weave even with red sewing thread a bracelet for any baby, with (a seed from a tree,) that according to our beliefs combated the evil eye or bad vibes). .,And after I had my two daughters, they were never without their red and black bracelets and anklets.
Aunque no hago cosas muy elaboradas, las prendas que usan mis hijas y mis nietas son hechas por mí…Y sin pensar mis pequeñas creaciones las exhiben en varios países, porque son muchos los familiares y amigos que están fuera del país y todos han llevados mis pulseras y collares como recuerdo. Y que se que los conservan y cuidan muy bien porque tienen un significado muy especial para ambos.
Although I don't make very elaborate things, the garments that my daughters and granddaughters wear are made by me... And without thinking they exhibit my small creations in several countries, because there are many relatives and friends who are abroad and all of them have worn my bracelets and necklaces as souvenirs. And I know that they are preserved and taken care of very well because they have a very special meaning for both of them.
Todo lo que hacemos con nuestras manos, van cargados con todo ese amor y toda la buena vibra para esas personas tan especiales en nuestra vida.
Everything we do with our hands is loaded with all that love and all the good vibes for those special people in our lives.
Y como soy amante de los cuarzo, es raro cuando hago alguna prenda y no lleve uno especial… Así que para esta tobillera que le hice a mi hija, tenía que llevar el cuarzo rosa, que se relaciona con el amor y simboliza la paz y la ternura.
And since I am a lover of quartz, it is rare when I make a garment and do not wear a special one... So for this anklet that I made for my daughter, I had to wear rose quartz, which is related to love and symbolizes peace and the tenderness
Al realizar esta labor tan bonita, recordé y le conté a mi hija momentos lindos y especiales, así como personas que ya no están cerca de nosotras. El tejer para mí siempre ha resultado una tarea relajante, terapéutica. Que aunque nunca pude aprender con instrucciones, solo al ojo como se dice, he realizados cosas lindas.
By doing this beautiful work, I remembered and told my daughter beautiful and special moments, as well as people who are no longer close to us. Knitting for me has always been a relaxing, therapeutic task. That although I could never learn with instructions, only to the eye as they say, I have done beautiful things.
Ahora les cuento como la hice y lo que utilice, que en realidad la elaboración fue muy fácil y rápida.
Now I will tell you how I made it and what I used, that actually the elaboration was very easy and fast.
Materiales:
- Hilo de algodón ( en este caso use el que se usa para bordar.)
- Aguja de crochet n° 2.5
- 2 argollas.
- Broche o trancadero.
- Piedras de cuarzo rosa.
Materials:
- Cotton thread (in this case use the one used for embroidery.)
- Crochet hook no. 2.5
- 2 rings.
- Clasp or lock.
- Rose quartz stones
Procedimiento:
Procedure:
Comencé tomando la aguja y enlazando el hilo, haciendo tres cadenetas.
I started by taking the needle and looping the thread, making three chain stitches
Para la otra vuelta introduje la aguja en la segunda y primera cadeneta, sacando una lazada y tejiendo dos puntos rasos.
For the other round I inserted the needle in the second and first chain, pulling out a loop and knitting two slip stitches.
Luego le di vuelta e hice el mismo procedimiento, y así hasta obtener el largo deseado.
Then I turned it over and did the same procedure, and so on until I got the desired length.
Luego fui pasando el hilo por el borde dejando un espacio de varios centímetros.
Then I passed the thread around the edge leaving a space of several centimeters.
Aparte en la otra punta del hilo le fui introduciendo las piedras de cuarzo.
Apart at the other end of the thread I was introducing the quartz stones.
Tejí tres cadenetas, rodé la piedra y tejí tres cadenetas mas fijándola en el borde, dejando el espacio requerido. Y así hice hasta llegar hasta la otra punta del tejido.
I knitted three chains, rolled the stone and knitted three more chains, fixing it to the edge, leaving the required space. And so I did until I reached the other end of the fabric.
Por último le coloque las argollas en cada extremo de tejido, así como el broche o trancadero.
Finally, place the rings on each end of the fabric, as well as the clasp or lock.
Quedándome así este hermoso obsequio para mi hija.
