The traditional coffee filter has been one of the favorite kitchen utensils in my family for more than 4 generations. My great-grandmother was Colombian and was the one who taught us this tradition. She used to say that coffee brewed in a bag has a delicious, familiar and unique flavor.
Later her descendants settled in Venezuela and we all learned to use the coffee filter or as we call it at home Bolsa de colar el café. Now my descendants are Cuban and I hope to pass this beautiful tradition on to them so that it will continue.
El tradicional filtro de café, ha sido uno de los utensilios de cocina preferidos en mi familia desde hace más de 4 generaciones. Mi bisabuela era colombiana y fue quien nos enseñó esta tradición. Ella decía que: el café colado el bolsa tiene un sabor delicioso, familiar y único.
Después su descendencia se instaló en Venezuela y todos aprendimos a usar el filtro de café o como le llamamos en casa Bolsa de colar el café. Ahora mi descendencia es cubana y espero pasarles esta bonita tradición para que se mantenga.

The first thing we have to do is to cut a triangle in the fabric that covers the whole circle of the frame.
