As a young girl, I grow to watch both my mum and grandmother sew, so I learnt the craft from mum. For my grandmother, it was a different story, women where not allow to go to school so she would rather stay indoors and teach herself how to sew rather than stick to just the kitchen.

To my grandmum sewing was a leverage, but to me sewing draws out strength from me and for whoever wears the dress.
Today my word to the women is to be classy in all endeavors. In view of that I made a classy gown for a client.
A brief preview of how I made the dress. I got the necessary measurements (full length, half length, burst, waist, hip, shoulder)
On a part of the material I marked out the half length of the dress which is the part from the shoulder to the waistline, the measurements required is the shoulder, burst and waist.
I stitched it up, pad and lined the half cut. I took another part of the material, marked and cut out the lower part of the dress, the part from the waist to the ankle (the measurements required, waist, hips and the full length)
I fixed it all up, to get the band around the shoulder which serves as the hand, I measured the all round shoulder, cut a straight piece of desired width and length then fixed it round to give me that classy look.
HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY!
