HELLO HIVE
Good morning everyone, happy Sunday to all needleworkers.I wish everyone a restful weekend and I hope we all went to church for prayer. Its weekend and leisure time to show the community how i made an halfshoe with my deaf apprehentice. It's almost a month while I share the community how to handle my new apprehentice with a form of disability and he his willing to learn shoe making.Alot of advice from hive users and friends which I have taken into consideration and practicing with the little boy.
@harhess/how-can-i-handle-a-deaf-and-dump-apprenticeshoemaking
This post will show us how I and Richard endure the stress of making the halfshoe for one of my client,Richard as the topic of the post that have shown improvement after a month of learning of shoemaking as a deaf learner. He really show his skill by helping his boss in separating the sole and applying gum to surface of the materials.I as his boss have been impressed with his progress so far.i will like to show the process of how we made the halfshoe to the needlework community.
MATERIAL USED
Black Leather material
Black linen
Louis Vuitton logo
Open and close sole
Gum
Scissors
Brush
sewing machine.
I will like to segregate the explanation of making of the footwear for better understanding which we will start from segmentation of a footwear into three parts
FIRST PART
UPPER OF A FOOTWEAR
This is the cutting of the Black design materials into halfshoe shape and the sided part of the halfshoe, now we will proceed to the linen of the upper part to make the shoe stand appropriate.
SECOND PART
SEWING AND ATTACHING
This part is where we will apply gum which was done by Richard my deaf apprehentice and I as the boss we do the gumming and attaching to the linen, then cut out with scissors.
THIRD PART
LASTING AND FINISHING OF THE HALFSHOE
This is the last part of the halfshoe making which we will apply gum to the insole and the upper of the halfshoe after attaching the cut pattern. After lasting,Richard apply gum to the shoe and the sole then I gum it together for completion of the halfshoe.
SUMMARIZING THE IMPACT OF RICHARD (DEAF) IN MAKING OF THE HALFSHOE
° He as a learner maintain the gumming part of each section of the footwear appropriately.
° He assisted his boss in picking necessary materials in the process.
° He watch his boss while sewing and attaching using the sewing machine.
Learning is complex and simple in nature depends on devotion and time,as a deaf human who is willing to learn shoemaking to make life easy for himself as his parent are not that financially buoyant.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR TIME READING MY POST,I WISH YOU ALL A WONDERFUL WEEKEND
LOVE YOU
