Hello everyone,
I hope you're all doing wonderfully well. I'm doing great myself.
Today, I'm excited to return to this lovely community to share something special with you all,a sunflower pouch that I recently crocheted.
Lately, I've been on the lookout for a fresh crochet pattern to try. I follow several amazing creators and make sure to subscribe to their channels so that every new video or pattern they release appears right on my feed.
Among all the beautiful designs I came across, this one instantly caught my attention. It was incredibly unique and visually stunning ,truly a showstopper and What made it even better was how functional it is. The moment I saw it, I knew I had to give it a try.
And luckily, it turned out just the way I imagined, absolutely perfect.
I do wish I had made a slightly larger one, but the pattern I followed resulted in this size and honestly, that’s perfectly fine. I absolutely adored working on this project. The combination of sunflowers on the top with the solid skin-toned bottom is pure perfection. I actually started this pouch right after waking up, and it took me several hours to complete. Now, as I’m writing this post, I realize why my back hurts so much.
Lately, I’ve been struggling with some pretty bad back issues, which makes crocheting quite a challenge. I always have to sit against a wall or find some sort of support, because sitting up straight feels impossible. It literally feels like I’ve broken my back, lol.
Anyways, let's talk about the steps of this pouch.I started by making the bottom part of the pouch which was more like a basket.i started with 12dc in magic ring and then increase.Honestly, the instructions were bit unclear but I just did what felt right to my soul and it worked pretty good.I saw many beginners struggling in comments but luckily it didn't go through that.I am pretty trained now
Then I made the petals on the top of my pouch with the green. In the first round I did chain 4,skipped 4chains and then sc.In the next round i did 4sc,skip 1st stitch,sc,hdc,dc and slst to make petals.
For the flowers, I crocheted seven mini sunflowers and they turned out absolutely adorable.I started by making the base using brown yarn, working 7 single crochets into a magic ring. After that, I did an increase round, then switched to yellow yarn for the petals. For each petal, I followed the pattern: chain 1, double crochet, chain 2, double crochet, slip stitch.
To be honest, I was completely exhausted while working on the sunflowers. I had to really push myself to finish them. Repeating the same process over and over again for all seven flowers became quite frustrating. The repetition really tested my patience.
Then I attached the flowers to the petal one by one and made a string to pass through the petals in criss cross manner so you can tighten your pouch when required. When I closed the pouch, all the flowers assembled on top of pouch and looked like a bouquet. It was so adorable
I hope you all liked my post.Feel free to share your options in comments. That's all from my side.See you guys soon.
