Hello everyone.
Hope everyone is doing great.I am good too.Today,the weather was mild so I thought I should crochet something in fresh air.After scrolling for about an hour,I came across this chibi check which looked so cute so I thought I should try this one.
I went to visit my grandmother yesterday so I was feeling very refreshed.I love sitting with old people.Their stories really inspire me.I always got mesmerised my their lives how they spent their lives carelessly and faithfully.While I was crocheting this chick,I was replaying all the yapping in my head and thinking deeply about life.
I am a procastinator.I don't move an inch from my house which make me very anxious and overwhelmed sometimes because to be honest I don't enjoy sitting with people of my age.I don't feel any connection with them.Whenever I go to my grandparents house,I sit with my grandmother and listen and absorb from her as much as I can.She is very old so sometimes the fear of loosing her scares me and trust me loosing parents is the most heart drenching thing.
Anyways let's talk about the chick now.I used 3mm hook and 4ply yarn.Last time when I went yarn shopping,I bought three different shades of yellow yarn so i can't be short on that for atleast some time.For the orange color i didn't have same shade so I used a pinkish shade which really did the job.
I started my making the head which I made very neatly and marked each stitch.I don't want my chick to look chubby.I followed the pattern step by step and it was different from the normal head pattern so I was guessing what the next row would be but all my guesses were wrong guys so just follow the pattern if you don't want to get frustrated
Then I made the shell more accurately the broke shell from where this baby chick came from.I used white yarn but it was not the one I mostly use.It was a bit thin and was hard to work with but I was already sitting so peacefully that I didn’t have the energy to go grap the other one so I just the one I brought earlier
Then I made small wings and feets of my chick.It was very easy.I then attached it with the glue gun.I also didn't have any stick left for my glue gun and I am very bad with sewing so I am hoping to find a better alternative.
Then I made the mouth of the chick.I was hoping that sun doesn't go down until I photoshoot my chick but then my father called and he asked me to search his very important document so I literally rushed through every file in 10 minutes and then ran to click pictures.
I used my new phone and honestly It was better than my last phone but I am still not used to it so I really don't know camera setting and I struggle alot🙂
That's the final look of my chick.I really liked it.I didn't mess up any part so I was very happy.
