ENG/ESP The Grinch for the tree. My entry to the Christmas contest. / El Grinch para el árbol. Mi entrada al concurso navideño.

I made a pattern for the hands, along the lines of my 5 year old daughter's hands, as it is appropriate for my tree. Everything is placed on folded fabric to get the front and back. Then I sewed the edges and stuffed by inserting a wire to give some movement to the fingers.

Realicé un patrón para las manos, siguiendo las líneas de las manos de mi hija de 5 años, ya que es el apropiado para mí árbol. Todo se coloca en tela doblada para obtener la parte delantera y trasera. Luego cosí los bordes y rellené insertando un alambre para darle algo de movimiento a los dedos.

With a shoe insole, also from Rafaella, I cut out the shape of the sole of the foot and an inverted U silhouette served me for the top of the shoe. I cut rectangles that I used for the legs and arms and everything was sewn by hand, to later place the stuffing.

Con una plantilla de zapato, también de Rafaella, corté la forma del la planta del pie y una silueta en forma de U invertida me sirvió para la parte superior del zapato. Corté rectángulos que me sirvieron para las piernas y brazos y todo fue cosido a mano, para posteriormente colocar el relleno.

I made a drawing of the head and then pinned it to the green fabric. This is the same method I have used for all my fleece projects. After cutting out the figure, I sewed the two parts together, front and back, and stuffed.

Realicé un dibujo de la cabeza y luego lo sujeté con alfileres a la tela verde. Este es el mismo método que he utilizado para todos mis proyectos en tela polar. Luego de recortar la figura, cosí uniendo ambas partes, delantera y trasera y rellené.

I made a Christmas hat starting from a triangle and once the ends were sewn, I glued the sheepskin fabric on the edge. I did the same for the union of the legs with the shoes and the arms with the hands.

Realicé un gorro navideño partiendo de un triángulo y una vez cosido los extremos, le pegué la tela ovejera en el borde. Hice lo mismo para la unión de las piernas con los zapatos y los brazos con las manos.

This is a sample of how it is placed on the tree. When I put the other ornaments on the tree, the concept will be better understood, but I loved it, it's a lot of fun and my kids will love it too, for now they told me that the head looks big, I think they are right. See you next time.
