Good Monday friends of the needles! Yesterday I told you in a post that carnival is over but all I do is relive it to feel that you can be all year carnival, and although all in the murga are sentimental, it is my time to put hands in action and give shape to combat this desire to see me again with my family and enjoy what we love to do. ¡Buen lunes amigas de las agujas! Ayer les decía en una publicación que el carnaval terminó pero todo lo que hago es revivirlo para sentir que se puede estar todo el año de carnaval, y aunque todos en la murga estamos sentimentales, es mi momento de poner manos en acción y darle forma para poder combatir estas ganas de volver a verme con los míos y disfrutar de lo que más nos gusta hacer. Espero que más que las imágenes, disfruten la historia y las palabras que les comparto.
On the other hand, I have the flu, the weather changes do not help and although it is also hard for me to focus and my hands sweat at times, the effort when embroidering is not tiring or overwhelming, I enjoy it and if my eyes get tired for example, just get up for a while, clear my mind and continue later. Besides, this kind of small and pretty appliqués that don't take me a lot of time I like to decorate small parts of the costume. This design was taken from Pinterest and I found the idea of the meow inside a heart with little ears cute.

Por otro lado, estoy con gripe, los cambios de clima no ayudan y aunque también me cuesta enfocarme y de a ratos me sudan las manos, el esfuerzo a la hora de bordar no es cansador ni agobiante, lo disfruto y si se me cansa la vista por ejemplo, basta con levantarme un rato, despejar y continuar luego. Además, este tipo de apliques pequeños y bonitos que no me llevan mucho tiempo me gustan para decorar partes pequeñas del traje. Este diseño fue tomado de Pinterest y me pareció tierna la idea del maullido dentro de un corazón con orejitas.
This time I will not tell you how it is done, you can already deduce from the images, first the drawing with tape and paper, then the border, and finally the filling. There were no great difficulties either. What I really come to do (and propose, among other things I want to achieve) is to strive to decide on a large design for my costume (something like an A4 sheet) and the small ones I can make to sell or give away.

En esta oportunidad no les contaré cómo se realiza, ya se puede deducir en las imágenes, primero el dibujo con cinta y papel, luego el borde, y para terminar el relleno. No hubieron tampoco grandes dificultades. Lo que verdaderamente vengo a hacer (y proponerme, entre otras cosas que quiero lograr) es esforzarme en decidir un diseño grande para mi traje (algo así como una hoja A4) y los pequeños que pueda hacer para vender o regalar.
I have told you many times that I start and abandon my ventures. My creativity is not linear, and although sometimes I have to make an effort, and I do, I end up not enjoying something that I really love to do. That's why the plan is only to do what I like, or maybe what you would like to see, in order to find meaning and challenge in my creative moment, but not obligations.

Les he contado muchas veces que comienzo y abandono mis emprendimientos. Mi creatividad no es lineal, y aunque a veces hay que esforzarse, y lo hago, termino por no disfrutar algo que en realidad, amo hacer. Es por eso que el plan es solo realizar lo que me va gustando, o quizás lo que ustedes quisieran ver, para poder encontrarle sentido y desafío a mi momento creativo, pero no obligaciones.

What usually happens then is that, although embroidery is always fun and interesting, I start to think that it is not looking great for those who have asked me, I am somewhat judicious with my own creations, so I will only do it for pleasure and if someone wants or needs it, I can sell or give away what I have already created. I don't know if the idea is right, but I will try to give this own form to the creation, so that I don't feel bad when I deliver a work that sometimes is not so beautiful, nor with good technique.

Lo que suele pasar luego es que, aunque el bordado siempre es entretenido e interesante, empiezo a pensar que no está quedando genial para quien me lo ha pedido, soy algo juiciosa con mis propias creaciones, entonces yo solo haré por gusto y si alguien quiere o necesita, puedo vender o regalar lo que ya tengo creado. No sé si la idea está bien, pero trataré de darle esta forma propia a la creación, para no sentirme mal a la hora de entregar un trabajo que a veces no queda tan bonito, ni con buena técnica.
From the bottom of my heart, I do embroidery because I miss the murga, the people and the glitter. Desde el tope de mi corazón, realizo bordados porque extraño la murga, la gente y los brillos. No es fácil estar cada día conversando, viéndonos, ayudándonos y acompañándonos para luego tener que aceptar que el carnaval terminó y hasta dentro de unos meses no haremos prácticamente ninguna actividad juntos. Aunque el descanso es necesario, ustedes saben que soy de las que prefieren llegar con todas las actividades y tareas, algo atareada, con la lengua afuera. Mi manera de disfrutar estar viva, es bastante al límite, y no es novedad. Estar sumida en un ritmo que me entretiene y requiere de mi es algo que me parece alucinante, mi corazón late distinto cuando me encuentro allí.
In this specific embroidery, I broke a needle for making too much force, but I learned in the past and when I go to the haberdashery shop I buy two or three needles of the same size, and I avoid despair when this happens. I also wanted to tell you that I have already made several designs on paper that are waiting to be embroidered, some I want to have them for myself, others to give as gifts and others because someone might like them, the desire to make different things even if they do not go in my costume is enormous.

En este bordado específico, rompí una aguja por hacer demasiada fuerza, pero aprendí en el pasado y cuando voy a la mercería compro dos o tres agujas del mismo tamaño,y me evito desesperar en cuanto esto ocurre. Además quería contarles que ya hice varios diseños en papel que esperan ser bordados, algunos quiero tenerlos para mi, otros para regalar y otros porque pueden gustarle a alguien, las ganas de realizar cosas diferentes aunque no vayan en mi traje son enormes.
