Hoy me uno a compartir en esta Comunidad un hobbie que desarrollé hace algunos años, es mi primer post en esta Comunidad, así que también es mi presentación formal.
Mi nombre es Luisana La Cruz, soy venezolana, periodista, residente en Argentina, me llaman cariñosamente Lu ó también LuisaCarola, nombre de mi marca personal. Bloguera desde hace 8 años, aún me consideró en formación porque todos los días se aprenden cosas nuevas y recién comienzo mi camino en #Hive, así que voy adaptándome a esta nueva plataforma y forma de compartir en Comunidad, muy diferente a lo que había hecho hasta ahora en mi Blog personal.

Today I join to share in this Community a hobby that I developed some years ago, it is my first post in this Community, so it is also my formal presentation.
My name is Luisana La Cruz, I am Venezuelan, journalist, resident in Argentina, I am affectionately called Lu or LuisaCarola, name of my personal brand. I have been a blogger for 8 years, I still consider myself in training because every day you learn new things and I have just started my journey in #Hive, so I am adapting to this new platform and way of sharing in Community, very different from what I had done so far in my personal Blog.
Empecé en el arte del Macramé por casualidad en el 2016, aburrida de estar en casa. Me habían practicado una operación ocular, que me prohibía -entre otras cosas- tomar sol, cocinar y conectarme con aparatos electrónicos como la TV o el computador. Tras una semana en casa y sin vendas en los ojos, encontré en un cajón olvidado un estuche con hilos para bordar sin usar. Según mi mamá, alguna de mis dos hermanas mayores bordada en tela.
Me entusiasmó la idea de probar que podía hacer con los hilos y puse en marcha mi práctica con el Macramé, leí mucho todas esas revistas viejas de mamá y algunas nuevas también, por lo que de a ratico -lo que me permitiera la vista - empecé a practicar con los puntos hacia la izquierda o derecha, costó un poco, pero logré varias pulseras en diagonal y esto me entusiasmó a seguir practicando en la técnica.
Tras mi recuperación no tomé ningún curso. Decidí continuar mi camino de forma autodidacta, investigando en Youtube los distintos nudos, mirando a otros creadores y practicando los puntos de distinta manera. Un día una amiga me preguntó que si las vendía que eran muy bonitas para regalo. Sin pensarlo mucho dije: Sí. Hoy tengo una pequeña colección de brazaletes de la amistad.
I started in the art of Macramé by chance in 2016, bored of being at home. I had undergone an eye operation, which forbade me -among other things- to sunbathe, cook and connect to electronic devices such as TV or computer. After a week at home and without bandages on my eyes, I found in a forgotten drawer a case with unused embroidery threads. According to my mom, one of my two older sisters embroidered on fabric.
I was excited about the idea of trying what I could do with the threads and I started my practice with Macramé, I read a lot all those old magazines of my mother's and some new ones too, so I began to practice with the stitches to the left or right, it was a little difficult, but I managed to make several bracelets diagonally and this made me enthusiastic to continue practicing the technique.
After my recovery I did not take any courses. I decided to continue my way in a self-taught way, researching on Youtube the different knots, watching other creators and practicing the stitches in different ways. One day a friend asked me if I sold them as they were very nice as a gift. Without thinking too much I said: Yes, today I have a small collection of friendship bracelets.
El arte del Macramé es milenario, nace con la civilización humana y tuvo su origen en Oriente, fueron los Persas y Asirios 2300 años antes de Cristo que utilizaron este arte con gran maestría y destreza artística. Luego, los árabes lo llevaron a Europa y estos últimos a América, quienes usaron la técnica para confeccionar las típicas hamacas de nudos. La técnica crea tejidos a través de nudos usando las manos, hoy regresa proponiendo nuevas versiones y colores.

The art of Macramé is millenary, it was born with the human civilization and had its origin in the East, it was the Persians and Assyrians 2300 years before Christ who used this art with great mastery and artistic skill. Later, the Arabs took it to Europe and the latter to America, who used the technique to make the typical knotted hammocks. The technique creates weavings through knots using the hands, today it returns proposing new versions and colors.
