Hoy quiero compartirles mi más reciente proyecto de tejido, que aunque demoré semanas, me enfoqué y lo terminé al fin y, spoiler, esta vez no hablaremos del producto final, sino de lo que sucedió durante esas semanas.

Justo hace unas horas, cuando terminé este amigurumi, me hice la siguiente pregunta: ¿cuántas veces he dejado de publicar porque no me salen las cosas? Todos quieren ver resultados, hermoso final, pero el proceso puede ser una historia digna de tragicomedia.

Lo que nadie te dice de los procesos creativos es que más de una vez son más parecidos a una escena del crimen que a una masterpiece digna de una galería en Pinterest. ¿Alguno de ustedes puede enumerar cuántos tapetes quedaron a la mitad, patrones que están cortados esperando ser cosidos o amigurumis despedazados o a medio deshilar porque así no iba la vuelta? Seguramente no han sido pocas, pero hay que enamorarse del proceso y es así como romantizaré el mío.
What no one tells you about creative processes is that more often than not they are more like a crime scene than a masterpiece worthy of a Pinterest gallery. Can any of you list how many rugs were left half made, patterns that are cut up waiting to be sewn or amigurumis that are torn apart or half unraveled because that's not the way to turn them over? Surely there have been not a few, but you have to fall in love with the process and that's how I will romanticize mine.
Todo comenzó cuando me interesé en hacer crochet, eso lo había dicho amo los amigurumis y mi inspiración son los adorables muñecos de BT21, mis amigas me motivan a que continúe mi práctica a pesar de no tener tutoría en este momento, eso no puede ser excusa así que allí van y me envían los tutoriales que saben que me podrían animar; algunos patrones están en otro idioma otros incompletos y otros para ponerle dedicación y es así como llegue a este patrón que aunque sencillo, mi enfoque en que quedara perfecto; dude, repetí, descansé para retomar, corte hilos, deshile de nuevo, casi me doy por vencida pero me dije si lo termino tendré mayor claridad para mejorar y se quitará la pestañita de notificación mental de tarea no concluida. De las piezas que sentía que andaban raras mis amigas me daban ánimos para que siguiera avanzando mientras yo hacía mis chistes un poco grises de como me iba, al final ellas les pareció bien el resultado contando que esté personaje es un poco extraño y es un alien que puede cambiar de formas.
It all started when I became interested in crochet, I had said that I love amigurumis and my inspiration are the adorable dolls of BT21, my friends motivate me to continue my practice despite not having tutoring at this time, that can not be an excuse so there they go and send me the tutorials that they know that could encourage me; some patterns are in another language, others incomplete and others to put dedication and that's how I got to this pattern that although simple, my focus was to make it perfect; I hesitated, repeated, rested to resume, cut threads, unraveled again, I almost gave up but I said to myself if I finish it I will have more clarity to improve and the little mental notification tab of unfinished task will be removed. Of the pieces that I felt were going weird my friends encouraged me to keep moving forward while I made my jokes a little gray about how I was doing, in the end they were fine with the result, telling me that this character is a little strange and is an alien that can change forms.

🛸❤️Tata de BT21 tiene un patrón bastante simple: es un príncipe extraterrestre con cabeza de corazón enorme, un cuerpo pequeño con una malla que lo recubre y una capa. Ya había hecho corazones; el tejido se basa en puntos bajos, disminuciones, puntos deslizados, anillos mágicos... Todo ya lo había hecho; por ende, iba bien al iniciar, pero pasaron cositas y mi cabeza se volvió un ocho.
Tata from BT21 has a fairly simple pattern: he is an alien prince with a huge heart head, a small body with a mesh covering and a cape. I had already made hearts; the knitting is based on single crochet, decreases, slip stitches, magic rings.... I had already done everything; therefore, it was going well at the beginning, but little things happened and my head turned into an eight.
Mis pensamientos iban desde si debí comenzar por un personaje más sencillo y si compro otros hilos que se parezcan al que usa la chica en el tutorial, si dejo este así y comienzo de cero. Los días pasaban y, al momento de retomar el tutorial, buscaba cualquier forma de evadir. Al final, el problema siempre estuvo en mi cabeza y no en las herramientas y materiales. Es de mis primeros trabajos; es lógico que no esté lleno de perfección; sin embargo, gracias a eso tengo este aprendizaje, esta catarsis de que lo único perfecto es lo que tengo en el momento y, aunque no quede como lo idealicé, solo la práctica me va a hacer mejor artesana.
My thoughts ranged from whether I should have started with a simpler character and if I buy other yarns that look like the one the girl uses in the tutorial, if I leave this one like this and start from scratch. The days went by and when it was time to take up the tutorial again, I was looking for any way to evade. In the end, the problem was always in my head and not in the tools and materials. It is one of my first works; it is logical that it is not full of perfection; however, thanks to that I have this learning, this catharsis that the only perfect thing is what I have at the moment and, although it is not as I idealized it, only practice will make me a better craftswoman.
