Feliz inicio de semana tengan todos en @Needleworkmonday. Como pensé al momento de iniciar este maravilloso reto de My NeedleWork Bucket List, el tiempo no me dio para terminar con los proyectos que tengo mucho tiempo pendientes de hacer, directamente relacionados conmigo y con un significado especial por lo que es justo y necesario terminarlos.
Aunque hice una lista seleccionando algunos de esos proyectos pendientes, por diversas situaciones no terminé algunos, pero me siento muy complacida porque ha sido un reto entretenido que por semanas formó parte de mis días y que con cada trabajo culminado sentí una gran satisfacción al aportar ideas que puedan ser de ayuda para esas maravillosas creaciones que día a día disfrutamos en la plataforma.
En mi lista inicial que en ocasiones varié, coloqué que quería hacer unos cojines (forros) para mis muebles ya que desde que los compré en diciembre de 2021 no les había hecho unos. en mente siempre quise hacer unos que en lo posible combinaran con cada cortina que colocara en mi sala, así que gracias a este reto y a que este fin de semana pasado tuve en casa una reunión en memoria de mi madre que ya cumplió un año de su fallecimiento, me esforcé por iniciar y terminar esta tarea.
Happy start of the week to everyone at @Needleworkmonday. As I thought when I started this wonderful My NeedleWork Bucket List challenge, I didn't have enough time to finish the projects that I have a long time pending to do, directly related to me and with a special meaning so it is fair and necessary to finish them.
Although I made a list selecting some of those pending projects, for various reasons I did not finish some of them, but I feel very pleased because it has been an entertaining challenge that for weeks was part of my days and with each completed work I felt a great satisfaction to contribute ideas that can be of help for those wonderful creations that day by day we enjoy on the platform.
In my initial list that sometimes I varied, I put that I wanted to make some cushions (linings) for my furniture because since I bought them in December 2021 I had not made them. In mind I always wanted to make some that as far as possible combined with each curtain that I placed in my living room, so thanks to this challenge and that this past weekend I had a meeting at home in memory of my mother who already completed a year of her death, I made an effort to start and finish this task.
Para cumplir la característica de combinables pues me dije, que me gustaría algo tropical con colores alegres y en el centro de tela encontré una tela de tapicería muy linda, aunque es de tapicería es muy suave al tacto así que con 80 cm de esta, pude sacar seis cojines de muy buen tamaño.
To fulfill the characteristic of combinable, I told myself that I would like something tropical with cheerful colors and in the center of the fabric I found a very nice upholstery fabric, although it is upholstery it is very soft to the touch so with 80 cm of it, I could get six cushions of very good size.
La confección estuvo muy fácil. Corté los cuadrados necesarios, así como también elegí una tela en color naranja que tenía super guardadísima y la usé para la parte trasera de cada cojín, por lo que corté la misma cantidad de cuadrados (seis). Entonces con cada cojín enfrentamos derechos de cojín y forro naranja y pasamos costura por tres lados del cuadrado, dejando un lado sin coser.
The making was very easy. I cut the necessary squares, and I also chose an orange fabric that I had in my stash and used it for the back of each cushion, so I cut the same amount of squares (six). Then with each cushion we faced the cushion and orange lining right sides together and stitched three sides of the square, leaving one side unstitched.
Volteamos nuestro forro al derecho, introducimos el cojín y con costura invisible a mano vamos a cerrar el lado sin coser. Pienso más adelante colocarle un cierre para mayor practicidad
We turn our lining right side out, insert the cushion and with invisible hand stitching we will close the unsewn side. I plan to add a zipper later for more practicality.
Este proceso lo repetí con los forros restantes y como ven con pocos pasos y de manera muy sencilla he creado unos lindos cojines para decorar mis muebles de la sala.
I repeated this process with the remaining linings and as you can see with few steps and in a very simple way I have created some nice cushions to decorate my living room furniture.
Luego de terminar y de lo sencillo que ha sido, debo decir que damos muchas excusas a veces para realizar las cosas. Claro está el tema económico, el estado de ánimo y situaciones que pueden afectar el hecho de sentarnos y crear pero debemos apoyarnos en visualizar tan hermosos resultados y poner manos a la obra para ser felices al ver nuestros proyectos listos y My Bucket List ha sido un super incentivo para lograr terminar mis proyectos pendientes.
Agradecida con la comunidad por crear tan maravilloso reto y solo espero que vengan muchos más bajo esta tónica que nos motivan día a día a ser creativos y productivos. Y como prueba de que nos volvemos creativos, con dos retazos de la tela que me quedó de la tela estampada realicé un hermoso camino de mesa para hacer juego con mis cojines. Este paso a paso se los muestro en otro post jajaja.

After finishing and how simple it has been, I must say that sometimes we give many excuses to do things. Of course there is the economic issue, the mood and situations that can affect the fact of sitting down and create but we must support ourselves in visualizing such beautiful results and get down to work to be happy to see our projects ready and My Bucket List has been a super incentive to get to finish my pending projects.Grateful to the community for creating such a wonderful challenge and I only hope that many more will come under this tone that motivate us every day to be creative and productive. And as proof that we are getting creative, with two scraps of fabric that I had left over from the printed fabric I made a beautiful table runner to match my cushions. I will show you this step by step in another post hahaha.
