Desde hace tiempo he tenido la idea de hacerme un delantal para cuando tengo que realizar un poco de peluquería, este es otro de mis oficios favoritos el cual lo practico desde hace mucho tiempo, este delantal me hacía mucha falta al momento de cortar cabello ya que esto hace que quede toda llena de pelos y me pique todo el cuerpo, lo mejor es que conseguí una falda en tela de Vichi perfecta para realizar este lindo delantal, aquí les dejo el paso a paso:

For a while now, I've been thinking about making an apron for when I have to do some hairstyling. This is another of my favorite jobs, which I've been practicing for a long time. I really needed this apron when cutting hair, as it makes my hair all covered in hair and makes my whole body itch. The best part is that I found a gingham skirt, perfect for making this cute apron. Here are the steps:

A lo largo de mi vida he podido aprender varios oficios, son tantas circunstancias las que nos toca pasar que muchas veces debemos tratar de adaptarnos a cada situación, y como dicen por ahí no hay mal que por bien no venga, estos oficios me hacen la vida más sencilla y me llenan de felicidad, entre ellos aparte de la costura, también hago un poco de peluquería.
Cuándo corto cabello tengo un problema y es que me lleno toda de pelos y luego tengo que cambiarme la ropa y lavarla varias veces porque es difícil quitarle esos pelitos pequeños que saltan por culpa de la máquina de afeitar , pero ese pequeño problema lo pude resolver ideándome la manera de hacer un delantal, busqué entre mis telas y cosas guardadas y conseguí una falda en tela Vichy, la tela me pareció perfecta ya que es parecida a la tela que está hecha la capa de cortar cabello y con esta evitaré llenarme toda la ropa de pelos, entonces manos a la obra 😊, aquí te dejo la lista de materiales a utilizar:
- Tela de la que tengas a la mano, aproximadamente 1 m
- elástico
- Tijeras
- Cinta métrica
- Hilo
- Máquina de coser
Throughout my life, I've learned several trades. There are so many circumstances we face that we often have to adapt to each situation. And as they say, every cloud has a silver lining. These trades make my life easier and fill me with happiness. Besides sewing, I also do a bit of hairdressing.
When I cut hair, I have a problem: I get covered in hair, and then I have to change my clothes and wash them several times because it's hard to get rid of those tiny hairs that come out because of the razor. But I was able to solve that little problem by figuring out how to make an apron. I searched through my fabrics and stored things and found a gingham skirt. The fabric seemed perfect since it's similar to the fabric the hair-cutting cape is made of, and with this, I'll avoid covering my clothes with hair. So, let's get to work 😊. Here's the list of materials to use:
- Fabric you have on hand, approximately 1 m
- Elastic
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
- Thread
- Sewing machine

STEP BY STEP
Comenzaré quitándole la parte de la pretina a la falda, luego la extiendo sobre la mesa y voy a extraer una parte de ella para hacer la parte de abajo de mi delantal, esta falda está cortada circular y esto me da una ventaja para extraer sólo una parte y con lo que me quede la usaré para hacer la parte de arriba y bolsillos, las medidas de la falda quedaron de la siguiente manera: en la parte superior 60 cm y en la parte inferior 110 cm.
I will start by removing the waistband part of the skirt, then I will spread it on the table and I will remove a part of it to make the bottom part of my apron, this skirt is cut circular and this gives me an advantage to remove only a part and with what I have left I will use it to make the top part and pockets, the measurements of the skirt were as follows: at the top 60 cm and at the bottom 110 cm.

Cómo segundo paso vamos a cortar la parte de superior del delantal, para esto utilicé una de las partes de la falda que me quedó, pero como éste está cortada de circular debo tratar de ponerla un poco recta así que le haré dos pinzas y entre ellas ubicaré un bolsillo, para el bolsillo voy a cortar un cuadrado de 17 cm por cada lado, este bolsillo me funcionará perfecto para colocar en el el peine, pinzas o algún otro implemento a la hora de cortar cabello.
Para combinar mi delantal conseguí entre mis retazos de tela una tira larga de tela de una sábana que había hecho hace un tiempo, con esta le haré la tira de la cintura para amarrar y si me alcanza el sesgo en las orillas del delantal.
As a second step, we're going to cut the top of the apron. For this, I used one of the pieces of the skirt I had left. However, since it's cut in a circular pattern, I'll try to make it a bit straight. So, I'll make two darts, and between them, I'll place a pocket. For the pocket, I'll cut a 17 cm square on each side. This pocket will be perfect for holding a comb, tweezers, or some other implement when cutting hair.
To match my apron, I found a long strip of fabric from a sheet I made a while back, among my fabric scraps. With this, I'll make the waistband to tie it, and if I have enough, the bias around the edges of the apron.

En este paso vamos a comenzar con las costuras, haré primero la parte superior, con la tela de sábana le voy a hacer sesgo a la orilla del bolsillo, luego lo ubico en donde haré las pinzas para enderezar la tela, luego le paso costura, luego corto el excedente de tela y le paso costura nuevamente, al tener ya listo el bolsillo voy a colocarle con la tela de sábana sesgo por toda la orilla del delantal, primero le coloco en la parte superior luego en los laterales a estos les voy a dejar un excedente para luego colocarle un pequeño trozo de elástico.
In this step we are going to start with the seams, I will first make the top part, with the sheet fabric I am going to make a bias on the edge of the pocket, then I will place it where I will make the darts to straighten the fabric, then I sew it, then I cut the excess fabric and sew it again, once I have the pocket ready I am going to place it with the sheet fabric bias around the entire edge of the apron, first I place it on the top part then on the sides, I am going to leave a surplus to later place a small piece of elastic.

Ahora vamos a hacer la parte inferior de la falda, la ventaja es que ya esta tiene ruido, voy a hacerle sólo el ruedo en los laterales y una tira la cual era varias costuras para poder colocar la tijera y las pinzas de cabello en ella, a esta la identifiqué con la inicial de mi nombre, la letra M, esta tira se la voy a colocar de lado derecho, luego voy a unir con costura la tira larga en la cintura haciéndolo un pequeño piquete en el centro a ambas partes para poder guiarme, luego le paso costura.
Now we are going to make the lower part of the skirt, the advantage is that it already has noise, I am going to make only the hem on the sides and a strip which was several seams to be able to place the scissors and the hair clips on it, I identified this with the initial of my name, the letter M, I am going to place this strip on the right side, then I am going to sew the long strip at the waist making a small notch in the center on both parts to be able to guide myself, then I sew it.

Ya casi está listo el delantal, ahora vamos a unir la parte inferior a la superior, igual hacemos un piquete en el centro de las telas a unir y pasamos costura, luego le pasé costura por la parte externa haciéndole un pequeño ruedo a cada tira y ya para finalizar en la parte superior voy a colocarle un pequeño trozo de elástico de aproximadamente 20 cm , me gustó más la idea de colocarle el elástico y no tener la dificultad de anudar tiras y así ya está listo este lindo delantal.
The apron is almost ready, now we are going to join the lower part to the upper part, we also make a notch in the center of the fabrics to be joined and sew, then I sew along the outside making a small hem on each strip and finally on the upper part I am going to place a small piece of elastic of approximately 20 cm, I liked the idea of placing the elastic and not having the difficulty of tying strips and so this cute apron is ready.

The skirt pattern was a pretty big advantage for making this apron. I really liked how my new apron turned out. Now I can cut hair calmly and not get covered in those annoying little hairs.
