Hello creatives friends and needlework Monday community how are you doing and how was your weekend I hope you all have funs with your families.
Iβm so happy to be here this morning to share this creative tutorial with you all, itβs a bubu gown style with aso oke in form of V neckline and aso oke at the sleeve edge it so beautiful and creative and this is my first time of sewing this particular style though it has been trending and now one of my clients ask me to made one for her.π.
She bought 6 yards of Ankara fabric and I made for her and her daughter same styles.
I folded the fabric into four i measured 57β for the length then I added 4β to the burst , waist and hips measurements after that I cut out the neckline and I measured 3.5β for the neck width and the depth is 6β and sleeves is cut together with the shoulder measurement.
I folded the aso oke into 2 then i slanted it with my tailor chalk to get the V shape then I sew the slanted part and cut it out then iron it to be neat.
After cutting the front neckline the back neckline is 3.5β by 1.5β then I open it up in order to fixed button for easy wearing.
Sewing process
After joining the piece together I iron the dress and that of her daughter and it came out beautiful and I send the pictures to my clients and she loves it π₯°
