Hello everyone
Virtual greetings to everyone in this amazing community, how are you all doing, I hope you all are doing great and if you ask of me I am doing good. I am happy to create a post here in this great community to join the on going contest which is all about the bucket list.
My today entire on the bucket list is all how I manage to change the band seat leather of my church.
I have make a plan to change the band seat cover of my church since last year due to because the seat has been dirty someone cloth especially when wearing something white to play the drums due to because the where using cloth to cover it so if dust be on it, the is no where it will go out and also if the drummer is sweeting it will make the seat to smell.
Here is the finished seat
I was not able to work on this seat because I did not have time due to work load in my shop, since I don't have much work I choose to visit the church to and pick the seat to my home so that I can change the seat cover to leather.
I remember I have a left over black leather at home which I used it to work for my customer 1 Year ago.
So I pickup the black leather to use and cover the seat. So my to start the work I first of all loose the seat from the seat stand to enable me work on the seat with the help of start screw.
I then remove the cloth that was use to cover the seat so that when I cover the new leather it will have shape.
Instead of my to take the measurement of the seat, to make it simple for me I just place the leather on the seat and draw out the circle shape of it. See photo below.
Then I use scissors to cut it out
I also means out the round length and cut it out too
After cutting them out, I then join the round length with my sewing measurement, this sewing machine is the one at home.
After that I then connect the both together with the help of my sewing machine.
Done sewing it.
After sewing it, I bend the side to make it stronger and beautiful.
Done sewing it.
I then cover the seat with the new sew leather.
After covering it, I turn the back, use nail to nail it round so that it can stay one place. See photo below.
Done nailing it.
I then tight back the seat and here is the outcome of it.
How do you see the finished work, how it make sense.
I did this on my own not pay by the church, and it took me just 30 minutes to complete it and I know some people will be surprised and God will bless me for doing this amen.
I really thank the leaders of this community @needleworkmonday @crosheille @lauramica @kattycrochet @marblely for putting head together to create such an amazing contest, it really help me to complete this long waited project and also @everyone .
God bless you all.
