FLOR-PRENDEDOR/ FLOWER- PRENDEDOR

Para la elaboración de este proyecto necesitaremos los siguientes materiales: tela, aguja, hilo, tijera, papel para los patrones, lápiz, regla, alfileres, silicón, imperdible, vela y cuenta o botón.

For the elaboration of this project we will need the following materials: fabric, needle, thread, scissors, paper for the patterns, pencil, ruler, pins, silicone, safety pin, candle and bead or button.

Lo primero que haremos son los patrones de nuestra flor. Para ello cortamos dos círculos, uno de 12 cm de diámetro y otro de 9 cm de diámetro (para facilitar el trabajo, se pueden hacer los círculos con algunas tapas que tengamos en casa y que tengan más o menos estas medidas).
Una vez que tengamos los círculos los transferimos a la tela. A estos círculos le vamos a quitar el centro en una proporción aproximada de 2 a 3 cm desde el centro hacia afuera.

The first thing we will do is the patterns of our flower. To do this, we cut two circles, one of 12 cm in diameter and the other of 9 cm in diameter (to facilitate the work, the circles can be made with some covers that we have at home and that have more or less these measurements).
Once we have the circles we transfer them to the fabric. We are going to remove the center from these circles in an approximate proportion of 2 to 3 cm from the center outwards.

Para sellar la tela y que no se deshilache, tenemos que quemar la orilla, para eso prendemos una vela y con mucho cuidado acercamos la orilla de la tela a la misma.

To seal the fabric and prevent it from fraying, we have to burn the edge, for that we light a candle and carefully bring the edge of the fabric closer to it.

Seguidamente, empezamos a coser por el borde interno de nuestro círculo.
Cuando la costura de la vuelta completa, halamos para hacer el ruche y rematamos. Hacemos el mismo procedimiento con el otro círculo.

Next, we begin to sew along the inner edge of our circle.
When the sewing of the complete turn, we pull to make the ruche and finish off. We do the same procedure with the other circle.

Tomamos las dos partes elaboradas y las colocamos una sobre la otra, tomando en cuenta que la pieza más pequeña va en la parte arriba.

We take the two elaborated parts and place them one on top of the other, taking into account that the smallest piece goes on top.

Para que nuestra flor quede más bonita le colocamos una piedrita o un botoncito en el centro. Ya nuestra flor está lista por la parte de arriba.

To make our flower more beautiful, we place a small stone or a button in the center. Our flower is ready at the top.

Ahora trabajamos con la parte de atrás de nuestra flor. Para colocarle el imperdible necesitamos dos pedacitos de tela, una circular para sellar y una rectangular para fijar el imperdible.

Now we work with the back of our flower. To place the safety pin we need two pieces of cloth, a circular one to seal and a rectangular one to fix the safety pin.

Colocamos silicón en el pedacito de tela circular y lo adherimos a la flor, presionamos para que se fije bien.

We put silicone on the piece of circular cloth and adhere it to the flower, pressing it so that it is well fixed.

Posteriormente le colocamos el silicón al pedacito de tela rectangular, colocamos el imperdible y lo cubrimos con nuestro pedacito de tela y esperamos que seque bien.

Later we put the silicone on the rectangular piece of cloth, we put the safety pin and cover it with our piece of cloth and wait for it to dry well.

Y listo ya tenemos nuestra flor-prendedor.

And ready we already have our flower-pin.
