Today, I'm sharing an outfit I sewed on March 29th, 2025, I thought I didn't capture every process when making the outfit, but while scrolling through my gallery, I found some photo from the process. I'm glad to share it here. Let's get creative✂️
MATERIAL USED:
- Chiffon fabric
- Lining
- Bra cup
- Scissors, Tape, Machine needle.
HOW I MADE THESE TWO BEAUTIFUL CORSET OUTFIT
- I drew the designs I'm working on. I wanted to use the same fabric in different styles, so I drew a corset gown, and a top.
- I took my measurements and placed the cup on the fabric. I did it on my pattern paper, but I didn't capture that part. Instead, I snapped a picture of the cup fitting on the fabric.
- I've already turned the bra cup with lining. Now, I'm working on the fabric and colors, using my sketch. My goal is using my sketch to transfer the designs into actual pieces for cutting and sewing.
- I joined the fabric pieces together and attached the lining before sewing the cup (Note: To prevent mistakes around the cup area, pin it round and sew the cup carefully, it'll be more easier). Then I pinned the back bodice and front bodice together and moved to my machine and stitched them up. Here's the result.
- Next, I worked on the Full-length skirt, I measured my half length 17 inches to get my full length 35 inches. Then, I cut out my A - line pattern and attached the half length and full length pieces together.
- Next, I created flounce frills, I measured from my shoulder to the half length, I gave 3 inches space and mark, and then measured and mark the full length. I drew a straight line and slashed slits on both sides ( left and right) for the front and repeated the same at the back. I used the slashed slit area to measure and cut out fabric for the flounce then attached it to the slit part. Here's the outcome.
- I measured 50 inches for the rope. I divided it into three equal part and braided it. After braiding, I sewed the braid into a rose shape around the bust area using needle and thread. I then added another braided rope to the neckline.

You can pair the corset top with Jean trouser, or different kinds of skirt. It's perfect for a friend's party or a casual outing.
