Hey, needlework friends! This week I have a new project THAT I ACTUALLY COMPLETED so celebrate with me please because I am generally a start-a-thousand-projects-and-rarely-finish person, ha ha. ;)
I made my cat Yuan a new harness, because he grew out of his old one (he's a chonker. Yes, he has been on All The Diets and seen the vet. He has food allergies and started to lose weight when I got him on allergy-safe food, but then he gained it all back plus some, soooooo yeah, he's just C H O N K Y).
But not just any harness, oh no. I made him a punk denim vest complete with patches (but no spikes, because he likes to roll over on his back and rub on the concrete when we go on walks in the courtyard).
Here it is from the front. I had to adjust it a couple of times to get it right. The neck part with the actual strap and clip now comes from under the jacket instead of on top, and what was the collar on my first try buttons around it instead (it was way too loose the first way I had it).
Here you can see he is sporting an #ophumanangels and a Pagan/Druid/Anarchy patch (both of which I had made some time ago) on one side. You can also see the old harness which I used as part of the new harness (pink with butterflies). The top strap part is part of an old leather (or faux leather?) handbag strap.
On the other side he has one of the patches I embroidered, "will revolt for food," which suits him just fine, I think. ;) There is space for another small patch but I don't have one to put there just now.
So now we're ready to go on new adventures together! :D
Thanks for stopping by and checking out Yuan's vest!
