Hello everyone @needlework Monday community, its always amazing to be here,i am hopeful that this week will be great and awesome.
I am here to share with you my Sunday wear,
It was a white long gathers gown.
As a chorester we were asked to used white long longs and i decided to sew one for myself.
It was really stressful for me because the information came out earlier but i couldn't buy my white fabric yet,i kept beliving and hoping that i will get it before the time runs out.
Luckily for me i was able to get it but i got it late
And i spent almost six hours in getting it done.
I finished so late
Here are the materials i used:
- White colour fabric
- Scissors
- Measuring tape.
- white crystals
- Buttons and white colour zip
First step
The first step i took was to cut out the upper top of it.
I took all my required measurements and i cut it out
I separated the front from the back
There was zip allowance for the back and i also created space for dart .
Next step
The next step i took was to line the material
I used white lining and i sewed it through.
Both the front and the back
Next step
It was time for the down part,i created gathers both on the lining and on the white fabric
I used hand needle to create the gathers.
Next step
I took the front and the back top and i joined it up by sewing it through.
I also cut out my short sleeve, turned it with lining and it was ready to be fixed.
Another step
I just wanted to add a little style to the gown
So i cut out a small flare for the half length
Line it,stay it, iron and also sew through.
Final stage
Then i joined all the pieces together and i sewed through and i fixed my zip and my choir white gown was ready.
It was a raining day so i couldn't really get a nice picture outside.
But i hope you all will like it.
