Hey guys..
Good people of hive, welcome to my blog, this is @sylvasticks, it feels good to be back here. Today I want to take you guys on a journey not very far, so stay with me as we journey together.
But before then I just want to say hello to the community Moderators, this is my first official post on this community and I hope I'm welcomed..
So let's start our trip..
We are already running out of time considering the fact that we have gotten to the second quarter of the year. I feel good knowing very well that I have achieved something for the year already and I can boast about it..
So why exactly am I saying all of these? Okay all I'm saying is that I'm a bespoke shoe maker and you will be seeing me here always.
The name of the shoe we are making today is called (Bottega)..
It's a shoe that's made from synthetic leather and a brapad, and has to pass through too many processes before it can be completed.
So I started by binding the bra pad to the material before I head over to sewing it up
After binding I did the marking on the surface of the material using a marking pen, not the regular kind of pen, now the next thing was the sewing
Yeah so I did the sewing here and it was time for the real creation, which is pattern making and cutting..
Look at me looking at the pattern and the materials with the thought of you're ready for this right? 😄
So I went ahead and did everything then cut it out, the next thing to do was piping,
I'm not sure I captured that part, but I did the piping just to cover the rough surface of the bra pad.
At this point I was already tired, well I didn't complete the work two days..
Yeah that's because this was my first time of making a Bottega cover shoe.
I started preparing the floor, using the persons leg measurement to form an insole so I can use it the make the shoe sole.
I did the cutting abd filling of the sole, i was already carried away that i didn't remember to capture some parts of this work
After coupling coupling the shoe, I went ahead to the lasting of the shoe , I am gonna leave a link to the video of how shoe looks on last before it's been fixed in the sole
And then I completed the process and the shoe came out quite good 😄
Thanks for stopping by
