Daring with other manual techniques / Atreviéndome con otras Técnicas Manuales.

Recently, my mother gave me these threads because she didn't use them. She told me they were for embroidery and that after a few failed practices she stopped trying. I had never embroidered, although I do remember some chain stitches that I learned as a child, and motivated by the beautiful colors of the threads I was encouraged to try to see how I would do with them.

I didn't have specialized needles for embroidery, but I didn't want to stop at this, so I used one of those thick ones that I always have unused in packages of various sizes. Another thing I used was a pair of blue jeans that my daughters had outgrown, so I already had the materials to start doing My First Embroidery Practices, hoping that it wouldn't go so badly since I do know how to sew.

Recientemente, mi mamá me regaló estos hilos porque no lo usaba, me dijo que eran para bordar y que después de unas prácticas fallidas dejó de intentar. Yo nunca había bordado, aunque si recuerdo unas puntadas de cadeneta que aprendí de niña, y motivada por los colores tan bellos de los hilos me animé a probar para ver que tal me iba con ella.

No tenía agujas especializadas para bordar, pero no quise detenerme ante esto, así que utilicé una de esas gruesas que siempre me quedan sin uso en los empaques de varios tamaños. Otra cosa que utilicé fueron un pantalón blue jean que ya les había quedado pequeño a mis hijas, así que ya improvisadamente tenía los materiales para empezar a realizar Mis Primeras Prácticas en Bordado, esperando que no me fuese tan mal ya que si se coser.
