Hello, hello everyone! How are you all I hope you are well and happy. Another Monday had come and I am so glad to have made another needleworkmonday post.
Last week, I shared about my making of flowers to be sold in the coming celebration of the heart's day in February 14 and I have high hopes that they will sell.
I made a blue tulip and a lavender flower on that post and I realized that I need to make rose flowers too. Some no, most people believe that roses are symbol of love and it would be mor romantic if there receive that flowers.
So I took Pinterestand YouTube's help in making roses. and I found a video tutorial about making the whole flower. makingteh petal is fun but i had a hard time makingteh sepal.
I actually made roses before but they all look like a mess and they did not sell, I didn't sell them either.
Practice indeed makes perfect! It's my first time making the rose petal and it does not look like the same as what I have copied. Of course the materials that i used were not teh same and my yarn isn't glossy.
Can you believe that the pretty rose above is made of these three circles below? NO wonder why crafts people are sometimes called magicians, haha. Would yo agree?
Here are some more of my three petaled rose. I think it's pretty enough, how about you?

Now while I was crocheting a tulip using and old rose yarn color, I lost count in my stitches and accidentally decreased teh stitches and then when I noticed my mistake, I never stopped and even wondered what would it make me and vioila! it looked like a rose bud to me.
So I tried the sepal that I made on teh rose bud and it worked pretty well yet I don't like teh base part because it looked felt, far more different from a real rode which has some green base that held all teh petals.
After many attempts of trial and errors,I finally made a pretty sepal that has a bowl in its base asn I stuffed them with fiber and sewed them in its place before I sewed the bud.
The sepal is a bit long, not so realistic at all but I think it wa sway better looking that teh flat sepal I showed you earlier in this post.
I loved how teh sepal looked like. And before this post will come to an end, Here is how I made the sepal:
I crocheted 5 single crochets in a magic ring, then I increased on the next round by placing two single crochets in each the single crochets in the previous round. In the third round, I added alternate one single crochet and two single crochets in each of the previous rounds and it gave me 15 stitches.
On the fifteen stitches, I made 5 sepals using three stitches in each. On the first round of the sepal, I made three single crochets, I turned my work hen added two single crochets in each ends giving me 5 single crochets and I added two more rows of 5 single crochets before I started decreasing my making one single crochet together in the following round until it reached to a stitch and I chained two chains one regular chain and tight on the last. To secure the ends, I used a regular glue to stiffen the ends as it dry.
I am on the way of making more flowers for the valentines day, and I hope I can make it before the special day comes and I could focus more on some other things.
This will be all for now, thank you for your time. Keep safe always
