I thought that making an apron would be something easy and simple, because I would only be guided by a pattern and since I was doing it with a blouse it would be even easier (according to me).... But I was wrong, because this project has been a little complicated, I had to do some stitches and being a beginner I had my mistakes, I even had to take out some strips with the same fabric, to make all the ends of the apron and try to make it look like the model I had ....
In Part I of my project I was here, where I marked and cut, to make my main piece that will be the front piece ⬇️
Then a few days later I started to cut from the scraps of fabric that I had left over, strips of fabric of different sizes (actually whatever size they were).
With the help of the iron I folded the strips of fabric of the size that I wanted the most.
After looking at the back of the back, I wanted to unpick on both sides because I wanted the whole bottom to be straighter; so I unpicked the fabric and squared it up again, put it through the machine to sew and fix it.
When I got the dimensions I wanted, I started to adjust the strips of fabric to the apron to make all the edges, I started at the top, then I did the sides, I fixed everything with hooks and then I sewed with the machine.
Finally I sewed the strips that I would use to tie and adjust the apron.
And that's it...
This project cost me a little bit more than I thought, I assume that because of my lack of experience, I made some strips to unpick and sew again to achieve the desired size... In short I took it all in stride and resolved, in the end if I got the result I wanted, that if I was a suitable size for my use ....
