Mother nature sent some delegates to inspect my work.
He shouted, Hey guys Zac is building us a trapeze
Privacy is a human right and our cottage has low walls at the front. So every "Jan Rap and sy maat" that drive, or walk past can look in over the low walls.
When the garden services arrive they also unload their equipment and laborers right in front of our door, as there is a gap above the low wall that I had to close.
Of course I also love to do a post with some humor, so come and have a look.
Terraced planter boxes will certainly take care of our privacy issues. I still have to put up the remainder of the slats that you see standing in the boxes.
Here is the gap in front of our door that leads to the garden.
I have completed the slats on this one.
So all that remains is to waterproof the boxes, then to fill them with top soil and finally to plant the rankers.
In the meantime I have grown a bush of the rankers separately and when the boxes are ready, we will simply take cuttings from the bush and plant them in the boxes.
Oh I forgot to tell you that the bush is Jasmine.
My favorite smelling plant.
Now for some laughs.
I think after watching me so intently, he is going to put up his own trellises for privacy up in the palm tree.
A ringneck dove and a turtle dove arrived to inspect the stability of the trellises.
Then it was time for the chief inspector to do his thing and he was happy. So he ordered the heavens to sign the job off as satisfactory.
The heavens put my signature to the job, but sadly the clerk that did the job placed the capital "Z" the wrong way around.
So I complained and a large baboon was laughing at me from behind a tree.
Welcome in my mind and I am glad to share my thoughts with you. Life is what it is and everything depends on how we look at it. All of us develop our talents to suit our own worldviews and I am a more practical person.
I am an inquisitive guy and have the strange habit to really want to see how things work by stripping and rebuilding them. Cost me many hidings as a child as no parent likes to see their prized ding dong wall clock lying all over the floor in parts.
Yet, today I do my own electrical and plumbing work in the house. I can fix my own roof, windows, gutters and doors.
I can also sit in board meetings to discuss new development plans and I have had more jobs in my life than many others. From apprentice to director with much in between.
But now I am just an ordinary man who runs a charity.
Funny how life works don't you think?
Oh! Where did I get my humor from?
I had almost daily hidings and learned to laugh at myself to minimize the pain :)
Laughing is the best healer that I know.
Sorry, I wanted to talk a bit today!
And That's All Friends!
