It crushes its foe under its heavy body to cause fainting. In a pinch, it will withdraw inside its shell.
Not your average sea turtle 🌊🐢
Today I would like to share with you some of my Pokémon card collection. We will be focusing on Blastoise in this post. I have a total of 4 Blastoise cards in my collection.
Blastoise is the final evolution of one of the original starter Pokémon from Kanto named Squirtle. If you haven't heard of Squirtle, Wartortle, and Blastoise then you probably haven't heard of Pokémon. The first Pokémon games that I ever played were Red and Blue on GameBoy, which were released in the USA all the way back in 1998. They were out in Japan a few years prior in February of 1996. That means Pokémon is older than my brother, who was born in March of 1996.
When I first played the original Pokémon games, I had no idea that Red and Blue were pretty much identical, outside of a few not-so-special Pokémon that was only on one of the games. I played both Red and Blue all the way through. In Red, I started with Charmander and in Blue, I went with Squirtle. I fell in love with my Pokémon and still have a fondness towards them, especially those from the Kanto region.
Once you finally hit those second stage evolutions and get your biggest and most badass Pokémon, you really start to feel powerful. Blastoise had a special move called Hydro Pump that annihilated nearly everything in its path, outside of grass and electric types. All fire types who dared to face my Blastoise were guaranteed to be decimated.
When I think of Blastoise, I don't imagine a turtle. The thing is, this Pokémon is indeed under a shell and based primarily on the architecture that is known as a turtle. Turtles are prehistoric, which is probably why I think of dinosaurs when I see Blastoise. One thing is for certain, the blue color palette and water abilities that Blastoise hoists are by far some of my favorite skillsets in the Pokémon universe.
You have already seen a brief preview of my Blastoise cards, but I think now it is time that you get a closer look. I will provide an image, the card number, and the set to which it belongs. Also listed will be the average going price for these cards on the market. I am always open to selling my cards, but I am not in a rush to do so. Offers would of course need to make sense when looking at the relative prices provided.
