The most well known psychic 🔮

Today I would like to share with you some of my Pokémon card collection. We will be focusing on Mewtwo in this post. I have a total of 9 Mewtwo cards in my collection.

Mewtwo is one of the most popular Pokémon of all time. This Pokémon became most popular back in 1999 when Pokémon: The First Movie was released. Mewtwo was the infamous villain in that film. Mewtwo was created by a scientist after years of horrific gene splicing and DNA engineering experiments with a sample of Mew's DNA.

One of my favorite Mewtwo quotes from the first movie is:

I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.

That quote is valid for human life as well as fantasy Pokémon lore. The story of Mewtwo learning to not want to destroy the world is something I will never forget.

Mewtwo was introduced as a fighter in Super Smash Bros. Melee in late 2001. This was one of the last characters to unlock in that game. I never actually unlocked Mewtwo in SSBM, but luckily one of my neighborhood friends had him unlocked. Mewtwo wasn't my favorite fighter, but I still enjoyed using him and his unique abilities.

Mewtwo is a Psychic-type and wields many powerful abilities. Telekinesis, Regeneration, Barrier, and the powerful Psyburn attacks are some of the most popular moves. If you have a properly trained Mewtwo on your side, you are destined to win.

My Mewtwo collection is pretty solid. However, it does kind of make me sick to know I don't have my childhood collection anymore. For instance, one card that I had 2 or 3 of is currently valued at $10,000 each. Ouch, that hurts to read. I stumbled upon that stat while looking up the values of the cars that I do own. That is just one of the hundreds of cards that I no longer have in my possession which are now of very high value.

You have already seen a brief preview of my Mewtwo cards, but I think now it is time that you get a closer look. I will provide an image, the card number, and the set to which it belongs. Also listed will be the average going price for these cards on the market. I am always open to selling my cards, but I am not in a rush to do so. Offers would of course need to make sense when looking at the relative prices provided.
