We continue with Christmas decorations because it is never too much when it comes to Christmas. It is one of my favorite seasons and that of many people and it is in what Christmas manifests an atmosphere full of harmony and each small ornament tells a story in our family, are small details that are saved year after year and are part of our memories, have accompanied us in the memorable family reunions and are immortalized in photographs for generations. This time a new member is added to the arsenal of Christmas ornaments and I will tell you in detail how I did it and the materials I used.

Seguimos con las decoraciones navideñas porque nunca es demasiado cuando se trata de la navidad. Es una de mis temporadas favoritas y la de muchas personas y es en qué en navidad se manifiesta un ambiente cargado de mucha armonía y cada pequeño adorno cuenta una historia en nuestra familia, son pequeños detalles que se van guardado año tras año y que forman parte de nuestros recuerdos, nos han acompañado en las memorables reuniones familiares y quedan inmortalizados en las fotografías por generaciones. En esta ocasión vez se añade un nuevo integrante al arsenal de adornos navideños y les voy contando detalle a detalle como lo realicé y los materiales que usé..

Esta figura está realizada básicamente con figuras rectangular para formar cilindros de diferentes tamaños que serán las partes del cuerpo. Para trabajar de forma cómoda realizamos todos los cortes. A continuación les doy las dimensiones de cada parte,

Body: red cardboard 24 x 28 ctms. Hat: black cardboard 12 x 28 ctms. Face: white cardboard 12 x 28 ctms. Legs: Two black cardboard 9 x 24 cm. Boots: Two cardboard 9 x 12 cm. Left arm: red cardboard 7 x 16 cm. Right arm: red cardboard 7 x 9 and another one 7 x 7 cm.

Cuerpo: cartulina roja de 24 x 28 ctms. Sombrero: cartulina negra 12 x 28 ctms. Cara: cartulina blanca 12 x 28 ctms. Piernas: Dos cartulinas negra 9 x 24 ctms. Botas: Dos cartulinas 9 x 12 ctms. Brazo izquierdo: cartulina roja de 7 x 16 ctms. Brazo derecho: cartulina roja 7 x 9 y otra de 7 x 7 ctms.

When we have all the parts cut, we roll the rectangles and form the legs and arms of cylindrical shapes. Then we roll the body part and on it the white and black cardboard that will be the face and hat.

Cuando tengamos cortadas todas las partes enrollamos los rectangulos y formamos las piernas y los brazos de forma cilíndrica. Luego enrollamos la parte del cuerpo y sobre ella la cartulina blanca y la negra que serán la cara y el sombrero.

To make the left arm, we make a one centimeter cut lengthwise on the longer cylinder and apply cold silicone on the edge that we have cut, we glue the smaller cylinder. Glue both arms to the body and our nutcracker begins to take shape.

Para hacer el brazo izquierdo, hacemos un corte de un centímetro de forma longitudinal en el cilindro más largo y aplicamos silicón frío en el borde que hemos cortado, pegamos el cilindro más pequeño. Pegamos ambos brazos al cuerpo y ya empieza a tomar forma nuestro cascanueces.

Glue the red cardboard we cut for the boots around the black cylinders we have for the legs. We introduce each cylinder inside the body cylinder and now it only needs some ornaments. I applied silicone on both sides of the face and glued cotton to make the hair.

Pegamos la cartulina roja que cortamos para los botas alrededor de los cilindros negros que tenemos para las piernas. Introducimos cada cilindro dentro del cilindro del cuerpo y ya solo necesita algunos adornos. Apliqué silicón en ambos lados de la cara y pegué algodón para hacer el cabello.

Cut four pieces of waxed thread to make laces for the boots. Glue two crossed strips of foami of 0.5 centimeters on the body, around the boots, at the end of the arms, two balls on the chest. On the men I placed a small piece of ribbon with tassels and a chain for the hat.

Corte cuatro trozos de hilo encerado para hacer cordones para las botas. Pegue dos tiras cruzadas de foami de 0,5 centímetros sobre el cuerpo, alrededor de las botas, al final de los brazos, dos balines en el pecho. I also made the eyes and mouth out of cardboard. Each detail depends on what we have at home. We always have parts left over from other projects and we can use them with this type of crafts, making the most of everything. For example I made a cane with a tall stick and a circle of red foami. Los ojos y boca los hice también cartulina. Cada detalle depende de lo que dispongamos en casa. Siempre nos van quedado partes de otros proyectos y les podemos dar uso con este tipo de manualidades, aprovechando todo al máximo. Por ejemplo realicé un bastón con un palillo de altura y un circulo de foami rojo.
