Hello everyone
Thank God it's friday, its a beautiful day out here and i bring you all warm greetings from this part of the world, i appreciate you all my friends, lovers of creativity, members of this great community and hive, it is another beautiful day for my to share with you with great pleasure from my sewing room the making of a simple card wallet with pressing button to secure the items in it and im sure you will like the beautiful outcome of it .
We all have one or more cards we go out with on daily basis to pay for goods and services, when going out, we definitely need to keep these cards safe and secure, sometimes, it gets peel off and damage the cards if not properly kept well, to keep our cards well and safe, i have come up with this simple cards wallet made from pieces of fabric, you can as well try this out with the simple step by step process below. It is simple, easy and useful.
join me in the cutting and sewing process of this simple card wallet.
From a single piece of fabric, i measurd and cut out 10 x 6" with interfacing ironed on the main fabric and it was used to cut out same measurement of lining
The main fabric was folded in two and at the top, i measured 3" by the side and make a slant to tge top and it was cut out
It was taken to the sewing machine with the lining placed on the main fabric and i sew the base leaving a small opening on it
It was turned to the other side and i folded the main fabric to 0.5" to the slanted side before the lining was folded on the main fabric
It was sewn round, following the shape of the main fabric
The excess lining was trimmed off and the sides as well and it was turned inside out through the small opening i left earlier
It was neatly ironed and i top stitched at the top edges round
I used my hand needle and thread to fix a pressing button to the top of the triangle shape and on the opposite side as well and this is the final outcome with my cards in in
The pressing button was used to secure the cards in it and this is how simple, beautiful and useful it is
It can now be put in your purse, bag, pouch or pocket to prevent it from scratching or peeling off.
