In this post I want to share with you all how we can extend the life of our USB cable.
We will use few materials that we can all have at home, in my case I used 4 cm of the coverage of a TV coaxial cable, and a little silicone.
Since fatigue wear is very common due to the handling of the equipment while it is being loaded, they tend to crack until they are totally inoperative.
Note; If it is cracking, but still loads without problems, we can put this reinforcement on it to prolong its use.
It also applies as an insulator, for the repair of any type of cable, since I had done this with my laptop charger and so far great.

En este post quiero compartir con todos ustedes como podemos extender la vida útil de nuestro cable USB.
Utilizaremos pocos materiales que todos podamos tener en casa en mi caso utilice 4 cm de la cobertura de un cable coaxial de TV, y un poco de silicón.
Ya que el desgaste por fatiga, es muy común debido a la manipulación del equipo mientras se carga, suelen agrietarse hasta quedar totalmente inoperativos.
Nota; si está agrietando, pero aun carga sin problemas, podemos colocarle este refuerzo para prolongar su uso.
Aplica también como aislante, para la reparación de cualquier tipo de cable, ya que esto lo había hecho con el cargador de mi laptop y hasta ahora genial.
Materials; 4 cm of TV coaxial cable, silicone.
Tools; Scissors, glue gun, lighter.
Materiales; 4 cm de cable coaxial de tv, silicón.
Herramientas; Tijera, pistola de silicón, encendedor.
Step 1
• We verify that the cracked or fractured USB cable still charges without problems to proceed to place the support.
Paso 1
• Verificamos que el cable USB agrietado o fracturado aun cargue sin problemas para proceder a colocar el soporte.
Step 2
• We locate the coaxial cable which we are only going to need 4 cm in length, we measure with a ruler and cut with the scissors.
Paso 2
• Localizamos el cable coaxial la cual solo vamos a necesitar 4 cm de longitud, medimos con una regla y cortamos con la tijera.
Step 3
• We cut the coverage of the coaxial cable with the scissors in half, to pass the USB cable.
Paso 3
• La cobertura del cable coaxial la cortamos con la tijera por la mitad, para pasar el cable USB.
Step 4
• In this final step we place the silicone inside the coverage of the coaxial cable and proceed to join the two cables.
• We use the lighter to correct details and finish closing the coaxial cable coverage.
• You can see that I am left with a semi-rigid and durable support.
Paso 4
• En este paso final colocamos el silicón dentro de la cobertura del cable coaxial y procedemos a unir los dos cables.
• Usamos el encendedor para corregir detalles y terminar de cerrar la cobertura de cable coaxial.
• Se puede apreciar que quedo con un soporte semirrígido y a su vez duradero.
