In many high schools and schools are many subjects that give teachers, teachers and teachers, and in some send to do many cultural activities for students to have notion to know other cultures and to maintain their traditions, although many have been lost or have not been maintained.
But even so, these activities continue to be assigned. And this time my son, who is in the second year of high school, in his group had to dramatize Simon Bolivar. A little of his history: "Simon Bolivar, known as the "Liberator of America", was a Venezuelan military and politician who for 20 years fought against the Spanish crown to achieve the independence of Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela ".
As in all countries, in many years ago they also had heroes and heroines, and for that reason I had to improvise the costume of this character.
I only did the top part, looking for these photos, and I made something similar to his costume.
The teacher told them to improvise, so she told them to use their imagination, to use recycled material, so that this dramatization would look the best. There were groups of five students, so each one did their best to get their grade, and it was excellent.
Their costume was in the front part in the form of a shield, which around it had ornaments like leaves, and on the shoulders were like shoulder pads, which had fringe.
Materials:
Pieces of fabric in yellow, blue and red.
Silicone gun.
Sewing machine.
Scissors, pins, flannel.
To start I did it on a long sleeve flannel, which I put all these accessories sewn on the sewing machine and the leaves I glued them with the silicon gun.
For the size of a flannel I took out the front part in red fabric, making the shape of the neck. Then I took out the top part of the collar as if it were a shirt. This collar I sewed on the breastplate so to speak.
Then I put it on the flannel and pressed it with the pins. So I could sew it on the machine.
For the cuffs I made it with red fabric scraps in the shape of a rectangle.
This is how I made this part. Then, since I didn't have any gold fabric, I made it with yellow fabric, and I cut out leaf shapes for the front, neck and cuffs.
With the help of the hot glue gun I glued each of the leaves in its place.
On the shoulders I made a rectangle in foami, which I cut on one side in an oval shape, and lined it with red fabric.
With the yellow fabric I made several cuts in strips and then glued them to the base of the shoulder pad.
This suit had a belt with the colors of the yellow, blue and red flag, so with long strips I just sewed them together, so that it could be tied at the waist.
It was something simple and easy to do, I wanted to share with you this craft, that I made only with recycled fabrics, and a little imagination.

En muchos liceos y escuelas son muchas materias que dan los profesores, maestros y maestras, y en algunas mandan hacer muchas actividades culturales para que los estudiantes tengan noción de conocer otras culturas y que se mantengan sus tradiciones, aunque muchas se han perdido o no se han mantenido.
Pero igual se siguen haciendo estas actividades, asignadas. Y en esta oportunidad a mi hijo que esta en el liceo en segundo año, en su grupo tuvieron que dramatizar a Simón Bolívar. Un poco de su historia: "Simón Bolívar, conocido como el “Libertador de América”, fue un militar y político venezolano que por 20 años combatió contra la corona española para lograr la independencia de Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú y Venezuela."
Como en todos los países, en muchos años atrás que tuvieron héroes y heroínas también, y por tal motivo fue que tuve que improvisar, la vestimenta de este personaje.
Solamente hice fue la parte de arriba, buscando estas fotos, e hice algo similar a su traje.
La profesora les mando a que improvisara, así que dijo que usaran su imaginación, que usen material reciclado, para que esta dramatización quedara lo mejor. Fueron grupos de cinco estudiantes, así que cada uno hizo lo mejor posible para poder obtener su nota, y así fue quedo excelente.
Su traje era en la parte del frente en forma de un escudo, que en su alrededor tenia adornos como de hojas, y en los hombros eran como unas hombreras, que tenían flequillo.
**Materiales:
Retazos de tela colores, amarillo, azul y rojo.
Pistola de silicon.
Maquina de coser.
Tijera, alfileres, franela.
Para comenzar lo hice sobre una franela de mangas larga, la cual le coloque todos estos accesorios cosidos en la maquina de coser y las hojas las pegue con la pistola de silicon.
Por la medida de una franela saque la parte del frente en tela roja, haciendo la forma del cuello. Luego saque la parte arriba del cuello como si fuera una camisa . Este cuello lo cosí en la pechera por decirlo así.
Luego la coloco sobre la franela y fui prensando con los alfileres. Para poder coserlo en la maquina.
Para los puños lo hice con retazo de tela roja en forma de rectángulo.
Así fui formando esta parte. Luego como no tenia tela dorada, lo hice con tela de color amarillo, y fui cortando formas de hojas, tanto para la pechera, cuello y puños.
Con la ayuda de la pistola de silicon caliente fui pegando cada una de las hojitas, en su lugar.
En los hombros saque en foami un rectángulo, que corte en un solo lado en forma ovalada, y esta la forre en tela roja.
Con la tela amarilla hice varios cortes en tiras para luego pegarlos en la base de la hombrera.
Este traje llevaba como un cinturón con los colores de la bandera amarillo, azul y rojo, así que con unas tiras largas solamente las cosi uniendolas, para que pudiera amarrarse a la cintura.
Fue algo sencillo y fácil de hacer, quería compartir con ustedes esta manualidad, que realice solamente con material reciclado de telas, y un poco de imaginación.
