After getting an idea of how I could make the model, I went to buy some materials that I would need, the huge range of textured cardboard and metallic colors, are a real gem for these crafts, those things did not exist in my school days hahaha, could not miss the polystyrene spheres, that make this kind of work so easy, cold paints of different colors and I thought to put some lights, for this, I bought the lights that are sold to decorate cakes, which are not only economical, but also super versatile, because they can be molded to any surface, with these lights, I made the orbits for the planets, as well as simulate stars.
I tell you, once I placed all the materials on the table, I was blocked, I could not find how to start hahaha, to involve Mathias, I asked him for help painting the spheres that would be the planets, while I was articulating how I would assemble the model, for this I looked for an old shoebox and lined the inside with a textured cardboard with black frost, perfect for simulating the darkness of outer space.
My great ally in this work was the silicone gun, the truth is that patience is not my best friend, because I thought to do the job with cold silicone, but it takes too long to dry, so this was the best solution for me. To place the name of the project and the names of the planets, I asked a friend who makes toppers for cakes, to cut the letters with the cutting plotter, this saved me a lot of work.
Finally, it only remained to position the planets, place the names and test that the lights were not covered by them, the most difficult part, to prevent Mathias finished with it before the exhibition, luckily, he took care of it, and it was excellent in his exhibition, he told me that there were some models more beautiful than his, but that this one had been perfect, what is the innocence of the little ones. From my perspective, I hope that the teacher thought that Mathias made it, because I wish I had my little model hahaha.

Por este lado del mundo estamos resfriados, la lluvia y el calor ha estado haciendo estragos, ya se acerca el fin de año escolar, y nos tienen corriendo de un lado para el otro, tanto en la escuela de música como en la escuela regular, a finales de la semana pasada le pidieron una maqueta del sistema solar, que además debía explicar, se podrán imaginar que yo estaba un tanto preocupada, pues lo mío, definitivamente, no son las manualidades, una de sus maestras me dio una pequeña idea, y Pinterest me termino de dar las luces para poner manos a la obra y hacer algo decente para mi pequeño.
Luego de captar una idea de cómo podría hacer la maqueta, me fui a comprar algunos materiales que me harían falta, la inmensa gama de cartulinas texturizadas y de colores metalizados, son una verdadera joya para estas manualidades, esas cosas no existían en mis tiempos de colegio jajaja, no podían faltar las esferas de poliestireno, que facilitan tanto este tipo de trabajos, pinturas al frío de diferentes colores y se me ocurrió colocarle algunas luces, para esto, compre las luces que venden para decorar pasteles, que son además de económicas, superversátiles, pues se pueden amoldar a cualquier superficie, con estas luces, hice las veces de órbitas para los planetas, al igual que simular estrellas.
Les cuento, una vez que coloque todos los materiales sobre la mesa, me bloquee, no encontraba como empezar jajaja, para involucrar a Mathias, le pedí ayuda pintando las esferas que serían los planetas, mientras iba articulando como armaría la maqueta, para ello busque una vieja caja de zapatos y forre la parte interna con una cartulina texturizada con escarcha negra, perfecta para simular la oscuridad del espacio exterior.
Mi gran aleada en este trabajo fue la pistola de silicona, la verdad es que, la paciencia no es mi mejor amiga, pues pensé hacer el trabajo con silicona fría, pero tarda demasiado tiempo en secar, así que, esta fue la mejor solución para mí. Para colocar el nombre del proyecto y los nombres de los planetas, le pedí a una amiga que hace toppers para tortas, que me cortara las letras con el plóter de corte, con esto, me ahorre muchísimo trabajo.
Por último, solo quedaba posicionar los planetas, colocar los nombres y probar que las luces no quedaran tapadas por los mismos, la parte más difícil, evitar que Mathias acabara con ella antes de la exposición, por suerte, la cuido, y salió excelente en su exposición, me contó que hubo algunas maquetas más bonitas que la de él, pero que esta había quedado perfecta, lo que es la inocencia de los peques. Desde mi perspectiva, espero que la maestra haya pensado que la hizo Mathias, pues bastante que desear tener mi maquetita jajaja.
