Before I begin my sewing project, I want to thank all the members of this beautiful community for being so kind, respectful, and supportive of each other's endeavors. Today, I'm going to share with you a lovely step-by-step transformation from a pair of denim 👖 to a beautiful high-rise, body-hugging skirt with a slit at the sides, highlighting the feminine silhouette and beauty.
✨ Buenas, buenas por aquí, gente linda de @hivediy les deseo un maravilloso dia, cargado de buena vibra, de mucha alegria y sobre todo mucho amor.
Antes de comenzar con mi proyecto de costura, quiero darle las gracias a todos los miembros de esta bella comunidad, por ser tan amables, respetuosos y por apoyar a todos en sus emprendimientos.
El dia de hoy les voy a compartir un lindo paso a paso de una bella transformación de unos 👖 de mezclilla a una linda de falda alta pegada al cuerpo con abertura a los laterales, resaltando la silueta y belleza femenina.
✨ I've already done this upcycling project before, as it's a fresh, youthful, and fashionable design that changes its entire style and use depending on the footwear. For this project, I already had a clear idea of what I wanted to do; I just had to remove the edging and sew it together, creating a beautiful, casual long skirt perfect for any occasion.
✨ Este proyecto de reciclaje ya lo he realizado en otra ocasion, pues es un diseño fresco, juvenil y a la moda, donde en dependencia con el calzado cambia todo su estilo y uso.
Para este proyecto ya tenia claro lo que quería realizar, solo debia quitar los tiros y unirlo, logrando obtener una bella falda larga casual ideal para cualquier ocasion.

Procedure:

✨ To make this cute outfit, I started by unstitching the pants at the crotch. Then, using pins, I closed the front and back, shaping them around the body.

✨ Para la realización de este lindo conjunto, comence descosiendo por la parte del tiro el pantalon. Luego con ayuda de alfileres cerre el frente y la parte trasera, de manera tal que fuese moldeando el cuerpo.

✨ Then I separated the sash from the skirt, as it was too wide for me. I then sewed a small seam with a straight stitch along the top edge, near the pockets.
Then I made a straight seam on each side of the hem, trimming off any excess at the end.

✨ Luego separe el fajin de la falda, pues este me quedaba bien ancho. Procedi a realizar una pequeña costura con puntada recta al borde de la parte de arriba, en la zona de los bolsillos.
Luego le realice una costura recta a la parte de cada tiro, recortando al final todo lo sobrante.

✨ To make the design more modern and relaxed, I unstitched the sides to just above the knee, giving it a more chic touch. Then I hemmed the sides and placed the sash as intended, to give you a preview of the design.

✨ Para hacer el diseño mas moderno y con mas soltura, descoci los laterales hasta encima de la rodilla, dandole un toque mas chic. Luego le realice un dobladillo a los laterales, y coloque el fajin de manera supuesta, para tener una previa imagen del modelo.

✨ Sew a seam all the way around, leaving a small hole to thread an elastic through later, creating a more defined silhouette. Then, using a safety pin, thread the elastic through the inside of the sash, closing it with a straight stitch and finishing with a zig zag stitch for a more polished look..

✨ Pase una costura por todo el contorno, dejando un pequeño orificio para pasar luego un elastico, quedando de esta forma una silueta mas marcada.
Luego con un imperdible le pase por dentro del fajin el elastico, cerrandolo con una puntada recta y rematando con una costura en zic zac, para un mejor acabado.

✨️ Finally, I made some small loops with small scraps of fabric. To do this, I folded each piece in half, sewed a seam, turned it right side out, and sewed two long stitches along each edge. Once each one was finished, I sewed them to my skirt, placing them just below the sash.

✨️ Por ultimo le hice unas pequeñas travillas con pequeños recortes de tela, para ello doble por la mitad cada recorte, pase una costura, la voltee al derecho y pase dos puntadas largas por cada borde.
Una vez listas cada una, las fui cociendo a mi falda, quedando justo debajo del fajin.
