How have you spent these days? 😊😅I've been a little uninspired for crafts, so I haven't had much creativity to get down to the projects I've wanted to do, but since I have a birthday coming up and I needed to make a little box to give as a gift, it occurred to me to personalize it and give it a special touch for this person who is my little sister, and who is at her Potterhead moment, so I wanted a gift box with this Harry Potter theme, but at the same time not so childish, but something pretty but elegant, and with the challenge of making it only with the things I had on hand without buying more materials, so I had to solve with few materials and see what came out, here are the photos of the step by step.

#1Para hacer la cajita de regalo usé
una caja de zapatos reciclada, que ya había cortado , para aprovechar la estructura, y usé sus misma medidas , faltandole un solo lado del lateral, para hacer uno de los lados de la caja , así que marqué los lados de 17cm, de largo y 10 cm de alto.Luego de marcar los lado de la caja que faltaba, con un cúter corté los lados , dejando una solapas a los lados para poder pegar la estructura más fácilmente.

#2Para la tapa de la caja, usé otro cartón reciclado , y marqué un rectángulo de de 17cm x 18cm y dejé un borde de 2cm para el borde ,y corté el contorno, otra cosa es que busque es armar la caja , pegando las solapas de los lados de la caja.

#3Con la caja armada, empecé a forrarla con cartulina negra escolar dejando una pequeña pestaña para los bordes inferiores hacia abajo y que no se noten, y para el borde en la parte superior metiéndole hacia adentro, para la tapa, usé un foami negro normal , y pegué directamente la tapa al foami y corté la figura sin dejar borde.En vez de sacar los cuadritos de foami para cada esquina si no que en las esquinas del foami hice un corte diagonal en cada esquina.

For the lid, I used normal black foam, and glued the lid directly to the foam and cut the figure without leaving an edge.Instead of taking out the foam squares for each corner, I made a diagonal cut in each corner of the foam.

#4En las esquinas pegué los extremos uno sobre otro ,para que quede una especie de tapa un poco más abierta y pueda cerrar bien,con el foami dorado corté unas tiras largas de 0,5 cm de grosor, y la pegué en todo el borde de la tapa de la caja para tapar las irregularidades del cartón.

#5En un foami escarchado negro,empecé a hacer el boceto del escudo de Hogwarts la escuela de magia y hechicería de Harry Potter, pero en un estilo más de logo en silueta, así que empece a bocetar está con un lápiz de color amarillo para tener la guía para pintar. luego de tener listo mi boceto, usé mi pincel favorito para delinear con pintura dorada ( jaja el palito de dientes) y empece a delinear la figura de la serpiente 🐍 Slytherin, por qué encontré la forma más fácil, luego seguí haciendo la forma del León Gryffindor🦁,luego la del tejón 🦡 de Hufflepuff creo que es el animal ,y luego la águila 🦅 para Ravenclaw.Ya con el diseño listo corté el contorno del escudo, para darle mejor realce hice unos taquitos de foami, pegando regtangulos de foami unos sobre otro para crear dos capas y cortando unos cuadrados y regtangulos para pegar en la parte trasera del escudo de manera que este quede un poco sobresaliente de la caja para un efecto 3D.

#5 On a black frosted foam, I started to sketch the Hogwarts crest, the Harry Potter school of witchcraft and wizardry, but in a more silhouette logo style, so I started to sketch it with a yellow pencil to have a guide for painting. After having my sketch ready, I used my favorite brush to outline with gold paint (haha the toothpick) and started outlining the figure of the Slytherin snake 🐍, because I found the easiest way, then I continued making the shape of the Gryffindor Lion🦁, then the Hufflepuff badger 🦡 I think that's the animal, and then the eagle 🦅 for Ravenclaw. With the design ready, I cut the outline of the shield, to give it better enhancement I made some foam blocks, gluing foam squares on top of each other to create two layers and cutting some squares and squares to glue on the back of the shield so that it remains a little protruding from the box for a 3D effect.

#6Para darle un aspecto de cofre antiguo recorté 4 triángulos medianos que me servirán como diseño de esquineros metálicos en las cajas antiguas, y los puse en la tapa , también para el cuerpo de la caja recorté dos triángulos para cada esquina inferior ,pero mucho más pequeños que los de la tapa , y para identificar el frente del cofre corté la forma de una cerradura .Con es escudo ubicado en el centro de la tapa , complete el diseño agregando pequeños puntitos esparcidos como un patron en la superficie del cofre ,este detalle me parece que hace que se vea aún más bonito y coqueto el diseño ,luego recorté tiras largas de papel mache para el relleno de la caja.

#6To give it an antique chest look I cut out 4 medium triangles that will serve as metal corner designs on the antique boxes, and put them on the lid, also for the body of the box I cut out two triangles for each bottom corner, but much smaller than the ones on the lid, and to identify the front of the chest I cut out the shape of a lock. With the shield located in the center of the lid, I completed the design by adding small dots scattered as a pattern on the surface of the chest, this detail seems to me to make the design look even prettier and more flirtatious, then I cut out long strips of paper mache for the filling of the box.

Y listo este sería el resultado ! Un hermoso cofre negro y dorado con nada más y nada menos que el emblema de Hogwarts y con las mascotas de cada casa , también amo el hecho de estos dos colores hace que se vea muy elegante pero bonito y coqueto ✨ y no requirió de tantos materiales si no más de los que estaban por casa, a mi me encantó la verdad quiero uno de Slytherin o Ravenclaw para mí ✨ necesito comprar pintura plateada para eso.
