Grasshoppers are small, green and agile insects, which are easily seen in the fields and ghats of our villages. They have two long hind legs, with which they can jump a long distance. They also have wings, with which they can fly. However, most of the time, they are seen jumping more than flying. Grasshoppers usually eat grass, leaves or vegetables. Grasshoppers are more common on hot days or during the rainy season. They are very calm and do not harm people. In the crop fields, they can be seen sitting so beautifully on various leaves that you want to take their photos again and again. Although the color of grasshoppers is usually green, sometimes they are also seen in brown or yellow. This small insect that is mixed with nature is very beneficial and beautiful for our environment.
